The modules include a sealed measuring module, and a module different from the measuring module; and the modules configured to enable any module to be replaced independently of the measuring module. A method for an electric power meter including modules coupled to each other. The modules include a sealed measuring module, and a module different from the measuring module. The method includes configuring the modules to be replaced independently of the measuring module. A system for communications with multiple meters. The meters are coupled to a gateway via a network. Each of the meters communicates using one protocol. The network includes nodes coupled to the gateway. Each of the nodes corresponds to one of the protocols; and at least some of the meters is coupled to each of the nodes based on the protocol used by each of the meters.
Apparatus and Methods for Hygiene Monitoring in Restaurants and Grocery Superstores
This disclosure describes methods and apparatus for hygiene monitoring in hospitals and drug stores. One sub-system use a combination of radio frequency tags attached to the staff, RF tag readers and infrared/proximity/motion/microphone/touch sensors installed over the faucet and dispenser to monitor if the staff wash their hands properly after going to the restroom. The forth sub-system automatically generate drug expiring label for opened drug container based on RF tag worn by the staff or attached to the container. The system generate and print the label whenever the staff gesture their RF tags in front of them and potentially scan the container bar code or select it from a drop-down menu on its touch screen. The last sub-system can also monitor the inventory of drug/medicine container in the refrigerator and provide a report or alert when they the time gets close to expiration date.
Method and system for collecting data supplied by sensors
A method for collecting data delivered by sensors each containing a measurement element, which sensors are equipped for radio communication and include a device for storing and preparing measurement signals recorded by the respective measurement elements for the transmission of the signals, and an autonomous power source. The method includes the following steps: recording successive raw measurement data corresponding to time-stamped, elementary measurement units of at least one physical or physical-chemical variable or parameter delivered by the measurement element of a particular sensor; in each sensor concerned, storing the raw measurement data in the memory device of the sensor; transmitting the unprocessed raw measurement data in compressed form via a radio link; and collecting, storing and evaluating the raw measurement data transmitted from a multiplicity of sensors in a remote central processing facility.
SYSTEM FOR REAL-TIME DETECTING LEAKAGE OF UNDERGROUND VOLATILE COMPOUND
The present invention relates to a real-time underground volatile organic compound leakage detection system and, more specifically, to a real-time underground volatile organic compound leakage detection system for minimizing contamination and allowing a rapid response by detecting beforehand in real time the spread of contamination in the soil and groundwater from environmental accidents due to leaks of oil, overflow oil and the like from the ground and underground storage tanks of a facility which is to be monitored for oils and harmful chemical substances comprising volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The system comprises: a monitoring well, provided in the periphery of the facility to be monitored, for collecting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) leaked from the facility to be monitored; a gas sensor module provided inside the monitoring well and for detecting the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and measuring the concentration; a communication module for wirelessly transmitting detection and concentration sensor data measured by means of the gas sensor module; and a control center server for displaying the detection and concentration sensor data received from the communication module, and outputting a monitoring screen.
