Device and method for diagnosing battery pack
11592492 · 2023-02-28 · ·

A battery pack diagnosing device mediating signal communication between a battery pack and a user terminal includes a controller generating a wake-up signal based on a user input to a third switch and transmitting the generated wake-up signal to the battery pack, and establishing a communication connection according to a first communication method with the battery pack turned on based on the wake-up signal and receiving state information of the battery pack through the established communication connection.

Method for operating a supply system

A method operates a supply system having a measuring unit and a central unit. Information is transferred repeatedly at specific time intervals via a communication network by radio between the central unit and the measuring unit. The measuring unit or the central unit receives the information and then generates a receipt confirmation, which it transmits to the central unit or the measuring unit respectively. The central unit or the measuring unit, after transmitting the information, opens a receive window of a certain time length for receiving the receipt confirmation. As a result of a first trigger event, the time intervals between the repeat transmissions of the information are shortened, and/or an additional receive window for receiving the receipt confirmation is opened, and as a result of a second trigger event, the time intervals between the repeat transmissions are lengthened, and/or no additional receive windows are opened.

Method and system for slurry pipe liner wear monitoring

A system includes a slurry pipe and a pipe liner disposed within an inner diameter of the slurry pipe. At least one redundant transducer wear ladder sensor is disposed within the pipe liner. A computer controller is operatively coupled to the at least one redundant transducer wear ladder sensor via a flexible ribbon cable. A radio-wave transmitter is operatively coupled to the computer controller. A radio-wave receiver is operatively coupled to the computer controller. A power source is operatively coupled to the radio-wave transmitter and to the radio-wave receiver.

Open-source architecture for remote physical or remote physical-media access control device

A remote node device including a hardware layer, a hardware abstraction layer, and a software stack operating on the hardware abstraction layer. The software stack including an open-source cloud-based operating system integrated with a service provider defined abstraction layer configured to coordinate functionality of the software stack, virtualized software components such as a virtualized Converged Cable Access Platform (vCCAP) implemented in docker containers where the vCCAP is configured to command and control the remote node device with respect to a customer premise equipment. The software layer of the remote node device includes different types of YANG data models for model-driven management and model-driven telemetry from the remote node device and a customer premise equipment to a service provider back-office system.

WIRELESS TERMINAL AND WIRELESS SYSTEM

A wireless terminal includes a memory that stores a parameter, a microcomputer that operates in an operation mode, which is predetermined, on the basis of the parameter, and a wireless communication device that wirelessly receives a change command of the parameter. When the change command is wirelessly received, the microcomputer suspends the operation and changes the parameter on the basis of the change command.

NETWORK NODE IDENTIFICATION USING WIRELESS SIGNAL SIGNATURES

A battery pack comprises an enclosure; a plurality of network nodes that communicate with each other inside the enclosure and that generate a unique radio frequency (RF) signature; and a special-purpose computer processor that compares an incoming channel impulse response (CIR) of the unique radio frequency (RF) signature corresponding to an incoming packet to a plurality of stored valid RF CIR signatures and executes a resemblance metric to accept or reject the incoming packet.

Remotely flyable mineral detection assembly

A remotely flyable mineral detection assembly for aerial detection of mineral deposits includes a drone, which comprises a first transceiver and can be remotely controlled and flown above a search area. A sensing module and a camera, which are engaged to an underside of a central hub of the drone, detect electromagnetic radiation emanating from and capture an image of, respectively, a subarea within the target area. A microprocessor and a second transceiver are engaged to and are positioned in the central hub. The second transceiver is global positioning system enabled. The microprocessor is operationally engaged to a battery of the drone, the second transceiver, the first transceiver, the sensing module, and the camera. The microprocessor selectively motivates the first transceiver to communicate an electromagnetic sensing output, coordinates, and an image corresponding to the subarea, to an electronic device of a user.

Implementing and Optimizing Safety Interventions

A network system provides interventions to providers to reduce the likelihood that its users will experience safety incidents. The providers provide service to the users such as transportation. Providers who are safe and have positive interpersonal behavior may be perceived by users as high quality providers. However, other providers may be more prone to cause safety incidents. A machine learning model is trained using features derived from service received by users of the network system. Randomized experiments and trained models predict the effectiveness of various interventions on a provider based on characteristics of the provider and the feedback received for the provider. As interventions are sent to providers, the change in feedback can indicate whether the intervention was effective. By providing messages proactively, the network system may prevent future safety incidents from occurring.
