ERGONOMIC SCENT DIFFUSER
An ergonomic scent diffuser having a first housing with electrical components connected to a second housing having a heating element disposed within. Slidably connected to the second housing is a cap. The cap has depressions adjacent an outer end to provide an ergonomic grip. The cap also has guide rails and retaining members that retain and position a fragrance emitting member over the heating element.
CARTRIDGE WITH VAPOUR PERMEABLE MEMBRANE, IN PARTICULAR FOR VOLATILE SUBSTANCES SUCH AS INSECTICIDES AND FRAGRANCES
Cartridge for volatile substances in the liquid state, such as insecticides or fragrances, of the type including a tray-shaped container closed on one side with a multilayer film, said multilayer film consisting of at least one internal vapour permeable membrane and one external vapour barrier layer. Directing/assisting means are provided, adapted to direct/assist the removal of just a first portion of the external vapour barrier layer—in the form of notches, weakening lines or strengthening lines—along a desired partition line, for cartridge activation.
Volatile dispenser for use in volatile dispensing systems
A volatile dispenser for use in a volatile dispensing system is provided. The volatile dispenser includes a blister with a surface having at least one flexible portion, a permeable membrane sealable to the surface and configured to form a sealed reservoir with the blister, and a volatile material contained within the sealed reservoir. Diffusion of the volatile material through the permeable membrane generates a pressure differential between the sealed reservoir and an ambient atmosphere to induce a movement of the at least one flexible portion to perform at least one function for the volatile dispensing system.
MINIATURE GAS DETECTION AND PURIFICATION DEVICE
A miniature gas detection and purification device is disclosed for a user to carry with himself, and includes a main body, a purification module, a gas guider and a gas detection module. The gas detection module detects gas of surrounding environment to obtain a gas detection datum, and controls the gas guider to be operated according to the gas detection datum, so that gas is inhaled into the main body and flows through the purification module for filtration and purification, and the gas purified is finally guided to a region close to the user.
Devices and methods for controlled release of substances
A controlled release device and method of use, the device comprising a reservoir wherein the reservoir is divided into one or more chambers; a first active material placed in a first chamber of the one or more chambers and at least one second active material placed in at least one other of the one or more chambers wherein the first active material comprises an active ingredient (AI), wherein the AI is one of an insecticide, a spatial repellent, a herbicide or a larvicide; wherein the at least one second active material comprises one or both of a matrix and an altering material; a permeable membrane covering the first chamber; partitions positioned between adjacent chambers of the one or more chambers for dividing the reservoir into chambers such that full or partial removal of one or more of the partitions results in mixing of the first active material and the at least one second active material to form a mixed active material; a cap positioned over the membrane for sealing the reservoir such that removal of the cap results in controlled release of the AI from the mixed active material through the membrane.
Multi-chambered and extended release fragrance and scenting devices
This invention is an air freshener, one that can be applied to consecutively disseminate scented material into the air, and includes a base member, the base member having a plurality of chambers or cavities provided therein, and into which a fragrance emitting gel may be deposited, during manufacture, with each cavity having a seal member applied thereon, to seal in the gel material. Then, the seal members may be removed consecutively, or in certain instances simultaneously, in order to disseminate the air freshening material from the contained gel to provide for the admittance of fragrance aroma into the surrounding atmosphere. In another embodiment, the base member may have a series of laminates applied to it, each laminate having a fragrance emitting material applied thereto, so that as each laminate is removed, it provides for a sustained emission of a fragrance aroma into the surrounding atmosphere, to function as an air freshener. The base members may be suspended by a cord from a support, whether it be in the vehicle, an office, or a room in the home.
AIR FRESHENING PRODUCT
An antibacterial air freshening product for an interior environment. The product includes a container containing 1 ml to 50 ml of a freshening composition in fluid communication with a membrane. The composition is substantially free of a surfactant and has from 0.5% to 20% of a volatile aldehyde mixture, by weight of the composition. The volatile aldehyde mixture includes a C5 to C8 unbranched unsubstituted linear alkenal and a C9 to C14 unbranched unsubstituted linear alkenal. A weight ratio of the C5 to C8 unbranched unsubstituted linear alkenal to the C9 to C14 unbranched unsubstituted linear alkenal is from 3:1 to 1:3.
Composite membrane
A refill cartridge for a volatile composition includes a reservoir, a volatile composition within the reservoir, and a composite membrane in fluid communication with the reservoir. The composite membrane includes a barrier layer having a thickness of less than about 10 .Math. and at least one support layer in contact with the barrier layer, the support layer having a thickness of at least about 10 um. The volatile composition is transported from the reservoir across the composite membrane at a flux of between 1 and 100 g/(m2-hr) at about 25 C. and about 101 kPa.
