A scent dispenser may comprise a vial retaining mechanism, a heating element, vial sensor, and a controller. The vial retaining mechanism includes a vial coupling that removeably retains a vial containing a scented solution. The includes a wick extending from a cavity of the vial through an opening of a neck of the vial. The heating element is shaped to receive and heat the wick of the vial. The vial sensor includes an array of sensor pads that are arranged in alignment with the vial retained by the vial coupling. The controller is electrically coupled to the heating element and electrically coupled to the array of sensor pads. The controller regulates a temperature level of the heating element, and receives signals from the array of sensor pads and processing the signals to determine a fluid level of the vial.

A controllable scent sample dispenser has a microdosing device for outputting, during an activation state, a scent sample at a scent sample outlet to the environment, wherein the microdosing device is placeable adjacent to an animal's nose so that a distance between the outlet of the microdosing device and a nare or nostril of the animal's nose is within a predefined range, and a microdosing driver unit for adjusting a dosing rate of the scent sample output at the scent sample outlet by selectively activating the microdosing device.
LIQUID OR GEL DELIVERY DEVICES
A delivery device is for intermittently delivering materials such as liquids or gels over a sustained period of time to a surface in a controlled way. The surface mountable delivery device is capable of delivering, an antimicrobial agent to protect surfaces from microbial contamination and/or to disinfect surfaces, e.g. door handles, push plates, hand rails, etc. as an aid in preventing and/or hindering the spread of infectious agents. The device uses a vertically lapped nonwoven material as the storage medium for the liquid or gel like materials within the device. A non-wicking liquid mediating layer to controls transfer of liquid from a reservoir to a contact surface of the device to minimize liquid losses. An elastomeric contact liquid delivery layer is optimized for printability. Use of physical features at the device contact surface prevents pore occlusion on user contact and aids flow of liquid to the contact user.
PEST CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system for integrated pest management in an environment includes devices positioned within the environment. The devices each include a communications facility that enables transmitting signals to and receiving signals from a network device. The system further includes a network to provide communication between the network device to the devices. The network device receives communication and control functions from a remote computer for distribution to the devices. The system further includes a sensor positioned within the environment to transmit sensor data to the remote computer. The sensor is configured to detect and transmit a parameter for the environment to the remote computer. The system further includes a controller to control the emission of a fluid from a source of the fluid in fluid communication with the devices. The controller is configured to set or adjust an operation parameter of the devices in response to the sensor data.
DEVICE FOR CREATING AND DISTRIBUTING VAPORIZED SCENT
A scent vaporizing and distribution device uses an electric heating element to rapidly vaporize a liquid scent material. An airflow generator is used to create a distribution airflow that distributes the vapor from the device. The airflow generator can be an electric-powered fan or a manually-powered pump or squeezable bladder. The liquid scent material can include a glycol or a water-glycol mixture. A scent material such as liquid or powdered deer urine or a pleasant scent that can be used as a room or automobile or room freshener is mixed with the liquid. The vapor generator can be removable and replaceable such that different scents can be used with a single airflow generator or an empty generator can be replaced.
METHOD AND SYSTEM OF SENSOR FEEDBACK FOR A SCENT DIFFUSION DEVICE
The disclosure herein concerns a method including receiving at a computer at least one target value of a scent parameter for an environment that is remote from the computer, receiving at the computer a sensed parameter of the environment, and controlling, via the computer, diffusion of a liquid from a source of the liquid in fluid communication with at least one scent diffusion device to achieve the target value of the scent parameter, wherein controlling includes setting or adjusting an operation parameter of the at least one scent diffusion device in response to the sensed parameter.

The method involves capturing first information or obtaining captured first information indicative of an odor load in the interior of the cleaning appliance, producing fragrancing and/or deodorizing information based at least in part on the captured or obtained first information or outputting the captured first information in order to produce fragrancing and/or deodorizing information of this type, and initiating fragrancing and/or deodorization by employing at least one actuator for releasing a fragrancing and/or deodorizing agent based on the fragrancing and/or deodorizing information produced. A corresponding dosing device, a device for carrying out and/or controlling the method, and a system with one or more devices for carrying out and/or controlling the method are also disclosed.

An air freshener includes a reservoir for storing a liquid fragrant substance, the reservoir has a cavity and an opening to the cavity. A permeable membrane is coupled to the reservoir and has a first surface facing the cavity that covers the opening and a second surface facing away from the cavity. A laminate removable seal includes a metallic layer and a sealing layer, the laminate removable seal is disposed on the second surface of the permeable membrane.
