Systems and methods for individual telephone numbering assignment and administration in a telecommunications network are disclosed. Particularly, the invention relates to the concept of acquiring individual telephone numbers instead of acquiring a block of telephone numbers from an administration agency. According to disclosed embodiments, the system and method allow a carrier to request an individual telephone number from a numbering administrator. The numbering administrator verifies that the carrier is authorized to request an individual telephone in a particular geographic area. If the carrier is authorized, the numbering administrator obtains an individual telephone number from its database and provides it to the carrier. The carrier initiates an intra-carrier assignment with an administrative agency to get the individual telephone number assigned to it. The administrative agency processes the assignment activation request, and upon completion of the addignment process, notifies all carriers that the individual telephone number is assigned to the requesting carrier.

In one embodiment, a method including analyzing a plurality of dialed sequences that are associated with unrouted calls in accordance with one or more candidacy rules, based at least partly on the analyzing, defining one or more candidate dial patterns for addition to a set that includes zero or more dial patterns in use for call control, and performing at least one action which promotes addition of the one or more candidate dial patterns to the set.

Systems, methods, and software technology for provisioning end-points in a communication service with geographically relevant telephone numbers drawn from a data table that may be searched using partition keys derived from identifying characteristics of a location. In an implementation, the telephone numbers in the data table may be associated with partition keys related to their location. Then, when requests are received for available numbers in a particular location, the data table may be queried using the partition key associated with that location.

A telephone is disclosed that is associated with more than one phone number and a universal phone number, wherein any phone call placed to the universal phone number results in the call being completed to the telephone regardless of the service associated with the more than one phone number.

The present disclosure relates to a system for initiating a call from a landline that is mapped to a caller mobile phone, wherein system includes a call request receipt module configured to, at a first computing device, receive, from the caller mobile phone, a call request comprising a caller identifier and a callee phone number; a landline determination module configured to, at the first computing device, determine the landline based on the received caller identifier, a landline based call initiation module configured to, using the first computing device, initiate a first call to landline number of the determined landline; a callee call initiation module configured to, using the first computing device, initiate a second call to callee phone number; and a callee connection module configured to conference the first call with the second call.

Various embodiments provide for a way of routing messages using location routing numbers. More specifically, some embodiments can route calls on different legacy networks by using features of existing telecommunication policy and databases. For example, a location routing number can be registered in a number portability administration center database. The location routing number may be in a native number block of a facility carrier and a company registering the location routing number in the number portability administration center database may not be the facility carrier. The destination switch of the facility carrier can be programmed to accept traffic associated with the location routing number. As a result, components of the network can route the message for the company to a destination switch of the facility carrier.

A universal phone number service and method of providing a universal phone number service that allows a user to receive phone calls on any phone service with a single phone number. A telephone is disclosed that is associated with more than one phone number and a universal phone number, wherein any phone call placed to the universal phone number results in the call being completed to the telephone regardless of the service associated with the more than one phone number.
