Call routing between enhanced and legacy systems
Components of a telephone system often do not evolve in lock-step with other system improvements. For a variety of reasons, a component in a system may be operational to enable telephone calls utilizing a particular dialing format but be inoperable for calls utilizing a different format. Telephone number formats were initially numeric. The number of digits and format of the digits was often determined based on a country-specific dialing plan. Many countries have moved to more digits or alphanumeric formats (e.g., URIs). By capturing these enhanced addresses and generating an associated unique identifier, internal networks may utilize legacy numbering systems internally and, once the call reaches an edge device, route them based upon the enhanced address.
Method and apparatus for changing a telephone number after entry
A computerized system and related method for assisting a user with placing a telephonic call, comprising a user interface, computerized processing, and computerized storage for: a user specifying an originally-specified telephone number to place an intended telephonic call, which telephone number, as originally-specified, for at least one particular reason, cannot be used to successfully complete the intended telephonic call; the user, after specifying the originally-specified telephone number, later specifying later-specified telephone number elements, including the possible deleting or ignoring of part of the originally-specified telephone number; and causing the telephonic call to be successfully signaled using the originally-specified telephone number in combination with the later-specified telephone number elements, without the user having to re-specify the originally-specified telephone number.
Network upgrading-adaptive telephone number upgrading method and device for wireless terminal
A network upgrading-adaptive telephone number upgrading method and device for a wireless terminal are provided. The solution relates to the field of wireless communication. An initialization unit of a terminal device acquires telephone numbers to be upgraded, and backs up the telephone numbers for use during recovery of the telephone numbers; the initialization unit of the terminal device acquires storage positions where the telephone numbers to be upgraded are stored; a number upgrading unit of the terminal device acquires number upgrading rules from a network side through the wireless terminal, and upgrades the telephone numbers in the storage positions according to the number upgrading rules; and a number writing unit of the terminal device covers the telephone numbers in the storage positions with the upgraded telephone numbers. The problem that the telephone numbers of the wireless terminal or the terminal device cannot be adaptively upgraded after a network is upgraded is solved, and beneficial effects of adaptively upgrading the telephone numbers, improving user experiences and reducing a risk after the network upgrading of an operator are achieved.
Method for implementing and executing communication center routing strategies represented in extensible markup language
A method is provided for supplementing existing interaction routines in a contact center with added capability including acts for (a) creating at least one rule having at least one rule attribute; (b) creating one or more processes, the processes integral to the rule; (c) defining the at least one rule and integral processes as a strategy; and (d) linking the strategy to the interaction routine, the link serving to cause execution of the strategy during an interaction between an entity and the routine, execution thereof promoting further interaction defined in the strategy.
Method, communication system and communication terminal for the transmission of data
Disclosed is a method, a communication system, and a communication device for transmitting data to a first subscriber, within the framework of a connection signaling from a first primary service communication device of the first subscriber to a second primary service communication device, a primary address information message associated with the first primary service communication device and a secondary address information message associated with a first secondary service communication device of the first subscriber is transmitted to the second primary service communication device. The transmitted address information messages are identified and stored via the primary service communication device. For the transmission of data to be transmitted to the first subscriber, the stored secondary address information message is transferred from the second primary service communication device to a second secondary service communication device, and is transmitted based on the transferred secondary address information message during transmission to the first secondary service communication device.
