BLOOD MIXER FOR A BLOOD COLLECTING BAG
A blood mixer comprises a support structure supporting the components of the mixer (10), a tubing fastening and guiding arrangement, configured to secure a blood collecting tubing in the mixer (10), a tray (18) adapted to house a blood collecting bag (16) having a blood tube (14) attached thereto, and configured to measure the weight of the collected blood in the blood collecting bag (16) and a pump (20) configured to draw blood from the donor (12) to a blood collecting bag (16) through said tubing (14). The pump (20) is configured to exert a kneading action on the blood supply tubing (14) by means of at least two kneading elements arranged to alternatingly displace the contents of the tube in the direction towards the bag (16). There is also provided a cooling arrangement (19) configured to cool the blood in the blood collecting bag (16).
Blood collection device
The inventive apparatus is a device for collecting a target volume of blood in a collecting bag connected to a collection needle with a flexible tube. The device has a plate for the collecting bag and a clamping device for clamping the flexible tube. The device also has a bearing element having a bearing surface, and a clamping element with a clamping surface. The clamping element is able to move between an open position in which the flexible tube positioned between the bearing and clamping surfaces is not deformed and a closed position in which the flexible tube positioned between the bearing and clamping surfaces is closed off. The device also has a control unit configured to determine the volume of blood collected and move the clamping element from the open position to an intermediate position, when the determined volume of blood collected reaches a predetermined volume.
Method For Controlling a Blood Component Separation Device Including Temporarily Storing a Component in a Container
The object of the invention is to provide a blood separation device that can reduce the total time for drawing blood to obtain high-concentration platelet liquid, thereby reducing the binding time of the blood donor. The device includes a temporary storage bag (Y2) (also serves as a buffy coat bag) which is a whole blood bag for storing whole blood drawn from a blood donor. The controlling unit of the device controls the device to draw whole blood from the blood donor in parallel with at least either a circulation flow step or an acceleration step, thereby storing the drawn whole blood in the temporary storage bag (Y2).
Blood component sampling cassette, blood sampling circuit set, and blood component sampling system
A blood component sampling cassette which can be more efficiently manufactured at lower cost as compared to a typical cassette, a blood sampling circuit set, and a blood component sampling system. A blood component sampling cassette (22) includes a cassette main body (23) made of a soft material to which heat sterilization is applicable. The cassette main body (23) is provided with a retransfusion line (44). The retransfusion line (44) is provided with a reservoir (47) configured to temporarily store a blood component to be returned to a blood donor. The reservoir (47) is pressed by a retransfusion pump (49) to discharge the blood component from the reservoir (47).
