Breast milk expression apparatus and system
A breast milk expression apparatus includes at least one compression pad disposable about a breast of a user and configured for radial displacement relative to the breast. The apparatus includes a compression unit coupled to the at least one pad, configured to cyclically displace the at least one pad radially inwardly to cause compression of the breast and, following compression of the breast, permitting the breast to expand and decompress.
Breastmilk collection system
A breastmilk collection device includes breast contacting flange, a vacuum reservoir, flexible diaphragm separating the breast contacting flange and the vacuum reservoir, and a flange receiver between the breast contacting flange and the flexible diaphragm. The breast contacting flange has a wide portion for accepting the breast and a narrow portion. The flexible diaphragm is located between the narrow portion and the vacuum reservoir. The flexible diaphragm moves between a sealed configuration, in which the breast contacting flange is sealed off from the vacuum reservoir, and an open valve configuration, in which the flexible diaphragm acts as a one-way valve to allow expressed milk to flow through a milk flow opening between the flexible diaphragm and the breast contacting flange when an opening pressure is reached in the breast contacting flange.
Lactating breast milk extraction apparatus and method of use
A progressive sequencing lactating breast milk extraction apparatus comprising a series of compression segments arranged forming a conical shape extending between a wider chest end and a narrower extracted milk collection end, at least one vibration generating apparatus in vibrational communication with at least one compression segment of the series of compression segments; and an operational mechanism to contract and expand each compression segment. In use, the operational mechanism cycles each compression segment of the series of compression segments between a compressed state and a relaxed state and the cycles are provided sequentially from a rear of the progressive sequencing lactating breast milk extraction apparatus to the extracted milk collection end. The vibrational energy applied to the breast aids in flow of the milk through the breast.
Adjustable Breast Pump Flange
An adjustable breast pumping flange is provided. The breast pumping flange allows for adjustment of the flange angle relative to a bottle to which the flange connects. This allows for a nursing mother to more comfortably position the flanges and bottles during a pumping session. This increased comfort in turn allows for improved and more efficient milk collection.
Breast pump
A pump apparatus and method for extracting breastmilk is disclosed. A pump head comprises a funnel-shaped breast shield portion and a neck portion leading to a collection container. A deformable elastic component is sealed within an opening formed in the neck portion and manipulated to engage the user's nipple to simulate the suckling of an infant. The deformable elastic component is configured to move into the interior volume of the neck portion under an applied positive pressure to compress the nipple and control nipple edema. The deformable elastic component is also configured to move away from the axial center of the neck portion under an applied negative pressure to create suction and extract breastmilk in a manner that closely replicates the suckling of an infant. The pump may also include another deformable elastic component to stimulate a Milk Ejection Reflex (MER).
Breast Pump
A breast pump is disclosed. According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a breast pump comprising a contact housing comprising a protruding part configured to correspond to a mother's nipple and extend toward the front; a cap connector coupled to cover the protruding part to form a first inner space; a funnel connector on the cap connector to form a second inner space; a linking pathway between the funnel connector and the cap connector and configured to link the second inner space of the funnel connector with the first inner space of the cap connector; a storage housing comprising a coupling hole to correspond to the second inner space of the funnel connector and coupled with the contact housing; a lid coupled to cover the second inner space of the funnel connector through the coupling hole of the storage housing; a flow separation membrane configured to divide and separate the space between the funnel connector and the lid; an air pathway in the lid through which air flows into and out from the space between the lid and the flow separation membrane; and an attachable pump module on the lid to suck air between the lid and the flow separation membrane through the air pathway, wherein the attachable pump module is integrally coupled with the lid to be detachably coupled to the coupling hole.
ELECTRICAL BREAST PUMP
The invention relates to an electrical breast pump (12) comprising a breast cover (2) having a breast funnel (3) for at least partially receiving the breast, a pumping device (7) having a motor (8) and preferably one energy accumulator (10), and a milk storage unit (4) with having a milk container (5) for receiving the pumped milk, wherein, in a standing position of the electrical breast pump (1) on a surface (10), the breast cover (2) and the pumping device (7) lie substantially within a virtual general straight cylinder, wherein the base area thereof corresponds to the area—extended by a factor of 2.5, preferably by a factor of 2.0, particularly preferably by a factor of 1.8—of the greatest largest cross-section of the milk storage unit (4) parallel to the surface (10), wherein the area centroid of the base area is identical to the area centroid of the area of the greatest largest cross-section, and the height of the virtual general straight cylinder is continuous in both directions.
Manual breast pump
A manual breast pump includes: a body having a communicating part that communicates with space surrounded by a hood placed on a breast; a diaphragm that deforms to generate a negative pressure in the communicating part; and a handle for operation that approaches and separates from the body, wherein a colliding part, against which at least the handle and the body collide before directly contacting each other, is provided in at least a region of any of the handle, the body, and the diaphragm, the colliding part is integrally made of a same material as a material of a region in which the colliding part is arranged, and has a damper structure that absorbs an impulsive force or reduces propagation of the impulsive force and/or a cover structure in which the colliding part is covered via a gap so as not to be exposed to an outside.
Submersible breast pump protection mechanism for a breast milk collection device with self-contained reservoir
A breast milk collection device includes a reservoir volume and an adaptor having one end to receive a woman's breast. The adaptor has a drip tube communicating with the reservoir. A source of cyclical application and relief of vacuum force is applied to the woman's breast located in the adaptor for the expression of breast milk. A one-way assembly permits breast milk to enter the reservoir and to submerge the valve element. The valve assembly includes a flexible barrier having an interior hollow chamber in fluid communication with said cyclical source of vacuum force and relief pressure, the flexible barrier fluidly isolating the source from the reservoir. The flexible barrier inflatably expands when relief pressure is applied to the interior of the flexible barrier, the flexible barrier becoming deflated when a vacuum force is applied to the hollow interior of the flexible barrier.
