Methods and apparatus for transferring pressure during expression of human breast milk
A device for expression and collection of breast milk, the device includes an actuatable assembly and a breast interface. The breast interface is sized to receive a breast and form a fluid tight seal against the breast. The breast interface includes an expandable membrane disposed within at least a portion of the breast interface. The expandable membrane reversibly deforms in response to actuation of the actuatable assembly, thereby applying vacuum pressure at the breast to express the breast milk. The expandable membrane comprises a plurality of expandable pleats which extend radially outward from a central longitudinal axis of the breast interface.
Apparatus and methods for compressing a woman's breast to express milk in a concealable manner
Wearable breast pumps are provided which utilize compression to enhance milk expression. The breast milk expression systems herein can allow breastfeeding users to obtain milk discreetly and comfortably in the presence of others. These systems compress the breast at one or more locations, such as at a base of a breast and/or along inferior and lateral sides of a breast, to stimulate milk expression. Various components and methods for expressing milk can facilitate milk output. For example, vacuum can be used in conjunction with compression. For another example, one or more temperature sensitive components can be utilized to improve milk secretion. In some embodiments, milk can be collected in a sterile custom storage container located around or beneath the breasts to facilitate wearability. After expression is complete, a quick-release valve can be used to detach the storage container from the pump and can prevent leaks.
System for optimizing guide values
A system for optimizing guide values, particularly in the field of infant feeding with mother's milk and/or in the field of medical drainage, which includes at least one first data set which has at least one first data group assigned to a first target group. The system also has a second data set, with at least one second data group assigned to a second target group. First data of the first target group are stored in the at least one first data group and second data of the second target group are stored in the at least one second data group. A data processing unit is used for processing the first and second data and for output of the guide values to the second target group. The data processing unit is formed in order to receive new data generated on the basis of the output of the guide values to the second target group and on the basis of the use of these guide values in the second target group and in order to convert the first data set on the basis of these new data for the purpose of optimizing future guide values.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSFERRING PRESSURE DURING EXPRESSION OF HUMAN BREAST MILK
A device for expression and collection of breast milk includes an actuatable assembly and a breast interface. The breast interface is sized to receive a breast and form a fluid tight seal against the breast. The breast interface includes an expandable membrane disposed within at least a portion of the breast interface. The expandable membrane reversibly deforms in response to actuation of the actuatable assembly, thereby applying vacuum pressure at the breast to express milk. The expandable membrane comprises a plurality of expandable pleats which extend radially outward from a central longitudinal axis of the breast interface.
A BREAST PUMP
A breast pump comprises a cover layer for fitting over a portion of a breast thereby to create a cavity. The breast pump is arranged such that the cavity is at least partially filled with expressed milk before the expressed milk flows to the outlet. An actuator is used to apply vibrations to the breast through the expressed milk.
Method of monitoring an operation of an electric breast pump
A method of monitoring an operation of an electric breast pump (100) using an external smart device (200) is provided. The external smart device (200) comprises a vibration detection unit (210) for detecting vibrations emitted from the breast pump (100). The detected vibrations are analyzed to extract information regarding the operation of the electric breast pump (100). The information comprises at least one of mode of operation and settings of the modes of operation of the breast pump (100). The extracted information can be outputted.
Synchronizing Breast Pumping With Infant Feeding
A system for synchronizing one or more breast-pumping sessions of an individual (such as a mother) and milk consumption by a second individual (such as a baby or infant) is described. In particular, based on measurements of a volume of the collected milk as a function of time and received information specifying milk consumption by the second individual as a function of time, a control circuit may determine a need for milk. Then, the control circuit may provide feedback based on the determined need for milk that synchronizes the one or more breast-pumping sessions and the milk consumption. For example, the feedback may alert the individual to initiate a breast-pumping session and/or may provide a signal to a breast pump that initiates a breast-pumping session.
SERVICE SYSTEM
A service system in the field of collecting human breast milk or in the field of medical drainage has a base unit assigned to an individual or an entity and at least one mobile data medium. The mobile data medium can be brought by a user into data-communicating connection on the one hand with products in the field and on the other hand with the base unit. The base unit can be brought by the user into communicating connection with an external information and data platform. The system according to the invention offers optimal care and support of users in the field.
BREAST PUMP
A breast pump (10) includes a breast pump cup (11) that is mounted on a breast, a suction pump (21) that absorbs fluid from the breast side of the breast pump cup (11), a detector (32) that detects temporal change in a sucked state of the breast by the breast pump cup (11), and an indicator (39) and a pattern adjusting unit (33) that perform processing based on the temporal change in the sucked state, which has been detected by the detector (32).
BREAST PUMPS
A breast pump including a vacuum source, a breast engagement portion, and a controller. The breast engagement portion is in fluid communication with the vacuum source and is configured to engage a breast of a user to express breast milk. The controller is in electrical communication with the vacuum source and is configured to notify a user that one or more components of the breast engagement portion require maintenance or replacement.
