Sound reproduction
A signal processor for a sound reproduction system which is arranged to perform processing of a sound recording so as to provide input signals for an array of distributed loudspeakers, such that the sound field generated by the loudspeakers results in cross-talk cancellation in respect of multiple listener positions at substantially all frequencies reproduced by the loudspeakers, and wherein the sound field so generated is an approximation of a sound field produced by an Optimal Source Distribution, OSD.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR REAL-TIME SOUND PROPAGATION ESTIMATION
Methods and systems for estimating diffraction effects during sound propagation in a scene, which include generating, for each distance value from distance values, a subpath between a first point of the scene and a second point of the scene passing through a third point of the scene which is at a distance from a path between the first point and the second point equal to the distance value. Furthermore, for each generated subpath, a transmission value related to a degree of occlusion of the subpath by objects in the scene is determined. Also, a diffraction amplitude response is determined using a first transmission value determined for a first subpath generated for a first distance value from the distance values and a second transmission value determined for a second subpath generated for a second distance value from the distance values.

One embodiment provides a microphone device with advanced functionalities. The microphone device comprises one or more microphone units, one or more sensor units, and an automatic control system. The one or more sensor units are configured for capturing contextual information indicative of one or more real-time conditions of an environment of the microphone device. The automatic control system is configured for detecting one or more real-time changes to the environment of the microphone device based on the contextual information, invoking display of a graphical user interface (GUI) comprising information indicative of the one or more real-time changes, and adjusting one or more settings for the microphone device in response to the one or more real-time changes.
Audio collection system and method for sound capture, broadcast, analysis, and presentation
At least one of the present exemplary embodiments and methods introduces a unique Audio Collection System comprised of self-contained Audio Collection Devices (ACDs), Audio Distribution Devices (ADDs), and Audio Control Analysis (ACA) components/functions. The system may be used to gather audio signals from environments in ways that are not presently available with the intention being to gather audio, analyze, and learn what may be understood about a given environment or situation. One exemplary feature of this system is that it introduces a set of standardized modular components that can be scaled from a small configuration to larger systems. For example, systems that may manage large numbers of audio input streams, broadcast audio streams, modify audio streams, combine and track sounds, and present sound as immersive experience.
