Audio device, server, audio system, and method of controlling audio device
An audio device includes a network interface, an amplifier that amplifies an audio signal received through the network interface, and a processor configure to obtain an output value of a signal from the amplifier and sends the output value of the signal through the network interface.
PANEL-TYPE SPEAKER
A panel-type speaker includes a panel and an actuator and is configured to vibrate the panel by the actuator so as to output sound waves from the panel, the actuator includes: a vibrating plate; and a piezoelectric element arranged on at least one surface of the vibrating plate, the piezoelectric element has, at a central portion of the piezoelectric element in a plan view, an opening from which the vibrating plate is exposed, and at a portion of the vibrating plate exposed from the opening, the vibrating plate is coupled to the panel.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROTECTING DENTAL PATIENT HEARING THROUGH NOISE REDUCTION
The present invention provides an apparatus for protecting dental patient hearing through noise reduction, the apparatus comprising: a main body portion provided in a form that can be mounted on both ears of a user; a microphone module that is provided on one side of the main body portion and collects external sound signals generated from the outside; a noise filter module that is built in the main body portion and filters the external sound signals to block or reduces noise signals included in the external sound signals; and a speaker module that is built in the main body portion and provided on the other side of the main body portion corresponding to the ears of the user, and that outputs sound signals filtered by the noise filter module.
DYNAMICS PROCESSING ACROSS DEVICES WITH DIFFERING PLAYBACK CAPABILITIES
Individual loudspeaker dynamics processing configuration data, for each of a plurality of loudspeakers of a listening environment, may be obtained. Listening environment dynamics processing configuration data may be determined, based on the individual loudspeaker dynamics processing configuration data. Dynamics processing may be performed on received audio data based on the listening environment dynamics processing configuration data, to generate processed audio data. The processed audio data may be rendered for reproduction via a set of loudspeakers that includes at least some of the plurality of loudspeakers, to produce rendered audio signals. The rendered audio signals may be provided to, and reproduced by, the set of loudspeakers.
High Acoustic Overload Point Recovery Apparatus and Method
Illustrative embodiments enable a MEMS transducer to quickly recover from, acoustic overload events by quickly resetting signal processing circuitry downstream from a MEMS transducer. An acoustic overload sensor detects occurrence of an acoustic overload event, and triggers a reset circuit to operate a set of switches to rapidly drain charge from a corresponding set of capacitances within the transducer, or within the signal processing circuitry, thereby resetting the signal processing circuitry more rapidly than would occur if said transducer or circuitry were allowed to recover on its own.
MULTIBAND LIMITER MODES AND NOISE COMPENSATION METHODS
Some implementations involve receiving a content stream that includes audio data, receiving at least one type of level adjustment indication relating to playback of the audio data and controlling a level of the input audio data, based on the at least one type of level adjustment indication, to produce level-adjusted audio data. Some examples involve determining, based at least in part on the type(s) of level adjustment indication, a multiband limiter configuration, applying the multiband limiter to the level-adjusted audio data, to produce multiband limited audio data and providing the multiband limited audio data to one or more audio reproduction transducers of an audio environment.
THERMAL CONTROL OF AUDIO PLAYBACK DEVICES
To avoid damage from overheating, playback device operation can be modulated based on input from temperature sensors. An example method includes obtaining, via one or more temperature sensors carried by the playback device, temperature data. Based on the temperature data, a first temperature parameter is detected. In response to detecting the first temperature parameter, a gain of audio playback is decreased by a first amount. After decreasing the gain of audio playback by the first amount, a second temperature parameter is detected. In response to detecting the second temperature parameter, the gain of audio playback is decreased by a second amount different than the first amount.
VOICE COILS FOR USE WITH TEMPERATURE SENSORS AND DEVICES INCLUDING THE SAME
A panel audio loudspeaker having a panel extends in a plane and an actuator is coupled to the panel. The actuator includes a voice coil attached to and extending from the panel along an axis, a magnet assembly suspended from the panel via one or more springs, and a temperature sensor in electrical contact with the coil at three different axial locations. The temperature sensor is configured, during operation of the device, to measure a temperature of the coil based on voltage measurements at the three different axial locations.
DIGITAL MICROPHONE WITH OVER-VOLTAGE PROTECTION
The disclosure relates generally to microphone and vibration sensor assemblies (100) having a transducer (102), like a microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) device, and an electrical circuit (103) disposed in a housing (110) configured for integration with a host device. The electrical circuit includes an output driver circuit, a low drop out (LDO) regulator circuit, and an over-voltage protection circuit with improved capacity and response time.
Multichannel audio enhancement, decoding, and rendering in response to feedback
In some embodiments, a method for performing at least one of enhancement, decoding, or rendering of a multichannel audio signal in response to compression feedback or feedback from a smart amplifier. For example, the compression feedback may be indicative of amount of compression applied to each of multiple frequency bands, of the audio signal or an enhanced audio signal generated in response thereto. The enhancement (e.g., bass enhancement) may include dynamic routing of audio content of the input audio signal between channels of an enhanced audio signal generated in response thereto. The enhancement and compression may be performed on a per speaker class basis. Other aspects are systems (e.g., programmed processors) and devices (e.g., devices having physically-limited bass reproduction capabilities, such as, for example, a notebook or laptop computer, tablet, soundbar, mobile phone, or other device with small speakers) configured to perform any embodiment of the method.
