Systems and methods for adjusting bass levels of a multi-channel audio signal include, among other features, (i) receiving the multi-channel signal via a playback device; (ii) separating, from the multi-channel signal, low-frequency signals comprising frequencies less than a threshold frequency; (iii) determining electrical energies of the low-frequency signals; (iv) determining a first energy by summing the electrical energies of the low-frequency signals; (v) consolidating the low-frequency signals into a consolidated low-frequency signal; (vi) determining a second energy by determining an electrical energy of the consolidated low-frequency signal; (vii) generating a gain-adjusted low-frequency signal by adjusting a gain of the consolidated low-frequency signal based on both (a) the first energy and (b) the second energy; (viii) generating a gain-adjusted multi-channel signal by mixing the gain-adjusted low-frequency signal back into the multi-channel signal; and (ix) using the gain-adjusted multi-channel signal to play back gain-adjusted multi-channel audio content via the playback device.

Monitoring of Audio Signals

An apparatus and method for monitoring audio output is disclosed. The apparatus may comprise means for providing one or more primary audio signals based on signals from one or more first microphones associated with an audio capture device and providing one or more secondary audio signals based on signals from one or more second microphones associated with an audio monitoring device, the audio monitoring device being separate from the audio capture device and configured for output of the one or more primary audio signals and the one or more secondary audio signals through one or more loudspeakers. The apparatus may comprise means for modifying one or both of the primary and secondary audio signals such that output of the one or more primary audio signals are distinguished over output of the one or more secondary audio signals.

Joining an Existing Audio Session
20230008802 · 2023-01-12 ·

An audio output device may join an existing session between a source device and another audio output device. The source device may transmit audio data associated with an audio session, using a first frequency band, to a first wireless audio output device and transmit connection information associated with the audio session to a second wireless audio output device over a second frequency band. The second frequency band differs from the first frequency band and the connection information allows the second wireless audio output device to join the audio session. After transmitting the connection information, the source device may transmit subsequent audio data associated with the audio session to the first wireless audio output device and the second wireless audio output device.

Shared speech processing network for multiple speech applications

A device to process speech includes a speech processing network that includes an input configured to receive audio data corresponding to audio captured by one or more microphones. The speech processing network also includes one or more network layers configured to process the audio data to generate a network output. The speech processing network includes an output configured to be coupled to multiple speech application modules to enable the network output to be provided as a common input to each of the multiple speech application modules. A first speech application module corresponds to a speaker verifier, and a second speech application module corresponds to a speech recognition network.
