SOCKET CONNECTOR FOR A HEARING DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a socket connector for a hearing device. The hearing device comprises a Behind-The-Ear (BTE) unit and a Receiver-In-the-Ear (RIE) unit, the BTE unit comprising a frame, wherein the frame comprises electronic components of the BTE unit, the RIE unit comprising a plug connector configured for providing an electrical connection between the RIE unit and the BTE unit. The socket connector is connectable to the frame of the BTE unit and is configured for detachably connecting the plug connector to the frame.
Customizable ear insert
The present invention provides a customizable ear insert for fitting within a user's outer ear or ear canal or both and methods therefor. In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a customizable ear insert having: a body formed of photocurable polymer, the body having a first shape configured for insertion into the outer ear canal of a user; a light source, the light source positioned adjacent the body, and wherein the body can be cured into a second shape by application of light generated by the light source, the second shape snugly conforming to the interior surface of the user's outer ear or ear canal or both.
SPEAKER UNIT AND EARPHONE
A speaker unit incorporated in a housing of an earphone includes: a frame having a cylindrical shape; a diaphragm emitting sound; and a board to which a wiring line of a coil provided to the diaphragm is connected. The frame has a space inside, and the diaphragm and the board are placed inside the frame with the space interposed between the diaphragm and the board.
EARPIECE FOR A HEARING DEVICE, DOME AND EARPIECE PART
An earpiece for insertion into an ear canal of a user and having a longitudinal axis is disclosed. The earpiece comprises an earpiece part comprising an earpiece housing having a distal end, a proximal end, and an outer surface connecting the distal end to the proximal end. The earpiece housing comprises a first primary vent aperture and a second primary vent aperture in the outer surface. The earpiece part optionally comprises a receiver arranged within the earpiece housing. The earpiece comprises a dome for securing the earpiece in the ear canal. The dome has an inner surface extending circumferentially along the outer surface of the earpiece housing. The dome comprises a proximal surface having a first primary vent aperture. The earpiece comprises a vent path forming a fluid communication between the first primary vent aperture of the dome and the second primary vent aperture of the earpiece housing.

A hearing device including a housing, a receiver within the housing, and a contaminant guard having a guard sound port and one or both of an outer contaminant receptacle, which is located outward of the guard sound port and that extends around the guard sound port, and an inner contaminant receptacle, which that is located on the central axis of the guard sound port and operably connected to a location outward of the guard sound port.

An in-the-ear hearing aid device is disclosed. The device at least one electro-acoustic transducer, and at least one sensor or at least one active electronic component. The at least one electro-acoustic transducer comprises a capsule enclosing a transducer sound active part and a transducer air volume. The transducer air volume is air volume which is enclosed by said capsule and which is in fluid-connection with said transducer sound active part. At least a portion of said at least one sensor or of said at least one active electronic component is provided within said transducer air volume.
LOUDSPEAKER
The present disclosure relates to a loudspeaker. The loudspeaker may include a loudspeaker mechanism, a fixing mechanism, and a connector. The loudspeaker mechanism may be configured to generate a vibration signal and transmit the vibration signal to the human body. The fixing mechanism may be configured to support and maintain the position of the loudspeaker mechanism. The connector may be configured to connect the loudspeaker mechanism with the fixing mechanism. The loudspeaker mechanism may at least include a first fixed position and a second fixed position. The first fixed position may be a fixed position of the loudspeaker when the loudspeaker is in a non-working state. The second fixed position may be a fixed position of the loudspeaker when the loudspeaker is in a working state. The connector may be configured to switch the loudspeaker mechanism between the first fixed position and the second fixed position.
EAR-WORN ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCORPORATING ANTENNA WITH REACTIVELY LOADED NETWORK CIRCUIT
Various embodiments are directed to an ear-worn electronic device configured to be worn by a wearer. The device comprises an enclosure configured to be supported by or in an ear of the wearer. Electronic circuitry is disposed in the enclosure and comprises a wireless transceiver. An antenna is situated in or on the enclosure and coupled to the wireless transceiver. The antenna comprises a first antenna element, a second antenna element, and a strap comprising a reactive component connected to the first and second antenna elements.
CONNECTOR TIP WITH BRISTLES FOR HEARING INSTRUMENTS
Examples of this disclosure relate to an accessory device for a hearing instrument. The accessory device comprises a connector tip that comprises a first wire segment and a second wire segment. The first and second wire segments are electrically conductive and electrically insulated from each other. The connector tip also comprises a first set of bristles and a second set of bristles. The first and second sets of bristles are electrically conductive. The first set of bristles is electrically connected to the first wire segment and electrically insulated from the second wire segment. The second set of bristles is electrically connected to the second wire segment and electrically insulated from the first wire segment. The first set of bristles is spaced sufficiently far from the second set of bristles as to prevent a short circuit between the first and second sets of bristles.
MODULAR HEARING INSTRUMENT COMPRISING ELECTRO-ACOUSTIC CALIBRATION PARAMETERS
A hearing instrument includes: a first portion shaped and sized for placement at a pinna of a user's ear; and a second portion having an earpiece for placement in the user's ear canal; wherein the second portion also comprises a connector assembly configured for electrically coupling to the first portion, the connector assembly having a plurality of connector wires, the plurality of connector wires comprising a first connector wire; wherein the second portion also comprises a receiver or miniature loudspeaker for receipt of an audio drive signal through at least the first connector wire; and wherein the second portion also comprises a non-volatile memory circuit having a data interface configured for receipt and transmittal of module data, the non-volatile memory circuit configured to store the module data, wherein the stored module data at least comprises electroacoustic calibration parameter(s) of the receiver or the miniature loudspeaker.
