A headphone system including a headphone in wireless communication with a remote-controller to be used in combination for direct communication between a first-user and a second-user. The remote-controller remotely controls functions of the headphone to interrupt a current audio output of the headphone being delivered from an audio-delivering-device. The remote-controller includes an integrated microphone and receive an audio message. Audio from the microphone is effectively instantly delivered to at least one speaker of the headphones via a wireless channel.

Personalization of auditory stimulus

Technology presented herein increases a user's enjoyment of sound by personalizing an audio signal so that the user perceives the audio signal as if the user had ideal hearing and/or desired hearing. In one embodiment, headphones on a user's head include a sensor and a speaker. While the speaker plays an audio signal to the user, the sensor records the user's response to the audio signal. The sensor can be a microphone, a brainwave sensor, an EEG sensor, etc. The user's response can be the audio response inside the user's ear, the brainwave response associated with the user, electrical skin response associated with the user, etc. Based on the measured response, and based on the knowledge of how other people perceive sound, the audio signal is modified to compensate for the difference between the user's hearing and the ideal hearing and/or desired hearing, therefore increasing the user's enjoyment of sound.

An automatic audio transcription method comprises: sending an audio stream and an identifier of the audio stream from a microphone device to an audio support server and to at least one hearing aid system comprising a hearing aid and a portable device connected to the hearing aid; playing the audio stream with the hearing aid; registering the at least one hearing aid system at the audio support server by sending the identifier from the hearing aid system to the audio support server; transcribing the audio stream into a text stream; sending the text stream from the audio support server to the portable device associated with the identifier of the audio stream; and displaying the text stream with the portable device.

Audio correlation selection scheme

The disclosure generally relates to connecting wireless devices based on a correlation between different audio sources. For example, according to various aspects, a first wireless device may capture sound via a microphone and receive audio content from a second wireless device via a wireless receiver. Accordingly, a wireless connection may be established between the first and second wireless devices based on a substantial match between the sound captured via the microphone and the audio content received via the wireless receiver. For example, the sound captured via the microphone may be output from a speaker on the second wireless device. In other examples, the received audio content may be sound captured via a local microphone at the second wireless device. In either case, the correlation between the audio received through the microphone and the audio content received over a radio may substantially simplify the procedure(s) used to connect two audio-enabled devices.

Audio playing apparatus and audio transmission circuit
10602273 · 2020-03-24 · ·

An audio playing apparatus and an audio transmission circuit are provided. The audio playing apparatus includes a first audio connector, a second audio connector, a player, and an audio transmission circuit. The second audio connector has a different interface specification than an interface specification of the first audio connector. The audio transmission circuit is coupled to the first audio connector, the second audio connector and the player. The audio transmission circuit detects a power pin of the first audio connector and a power pin of the second audio connector to obtain a determination result, and selects one of the first audio connector and the second audio connector as a target connector according to the determination result, so as to transmit an audio signal associated with the target connector to the player.
