On-demand testing for selected conditions

A device is used to monitor, in real-time, one or more environment conditions of an environment in which a user is located. Based on the monitoring, an alert condition relating to the environment is detected. Based on detecting the alert condition, on-demand testing of a sensory component of the user is initiated. The on-demand testing tests for a selected condition relating to the health of the user.

Playback Based on User Presence Detection

Example techniques relate to playback based on acoustic signals in a system including a first network device and a second network device. A first network device may detect a presence of a user using a camera and/or infrared sensors. The first network device sends, in response to detecting the presence of the user, a particular signal via the first network interface. The second network device receives data corresponding to the particular signal and plays back an audio output corresponding to the particular signal.

The present technology relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program that enable easier visualization of a sound field.

The information processing device includes: a calculation unit configured to calculate, on the basis of positional information indicating a plurality of observation positions in a space and an audio signal of sound observed at each of the plurality of observation positions, an amplitude or phase of the sound at each of a plurality of positions in the space at a first time interval; an event detection unit configured to detect an event; and an adjustment unit configured to perform, in a case where the event is detected, control such that the amplitude or the phase is calculated at a second time interval shorter than the first time interval. The present technology can be applied to a sound-field visualization system.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR UNSUPERVISED AUDIO SOURCE SEPARATION USING GENERATIVE PRIORS

Various embodiments of a system and associated method for audio source separation based on generative priors trained on individual sources. Through the use of projected gradient descent optimization, the present approach simultaneously searches in the source-specific latent spaces to effectively recover the constituent sources. Though the generative priors can be defined in the time domain directly, it was found that using spectral domain loss functions leads to good-quality source estimates.

APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF TESTING AN ACOUSTIC DEVICE

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of testing an acoustic device, an acoustic component, and/or a device or system including one or more acoustic devices. For example, an acoustic device tester may be configured to process input acoustic information of a tested acoustic device to determine a tested acoustic value distribution for the tested acoustic device in a plurality of frequency sub-bands; determine whether or not the tested acoustic device meets a predefined testing criterion based on the tested acoustic value distribution and a reference profile defining a plurality of reference values corresponding to the plurality of frequency sub-bands, respectively; and generate an output to indicate whether or not the tested acoustic device meets the predefined testing criterion.

A method for processing music audio data, including providing input audio data representing a first piece of music comprising a mixture of musical timbres. The method also includes decomposing the input audio data to generate at least first-timbre decomposed data representing a first timbre selected from the musical timbres of the first piece of music, and second-timbre decomposed data representing a second timbre selected from the musical timbres of the first piece of music. The method also includes applying a transport control to obtain transport controlled first-timbre decomposed data. The method also includes recombining audio data obtained from the transport controlled first-timbre decomposed data with audio data obtained from the second-timbre decomposed data to obtain recombined audio data.

In-ear sound pressure level, SPL, is determined that is caused by output audio being converted into sound by a headset worn by a user. The in-ear SPL is converted into a sound sample having units that are suitable for evaluating sound noise exposure. These operations are repeated to produce a sequence of sound samples during playback. This sequence of sound samples is then written to a secure database. Access to the database is authorized by the user. Other aspects are also described and claimed.
