A portable audio input/output device may include one or more openings that extend through a cover of the device and allow acoustic signals outside a housing of the device to reach a microphone disposed within the housing. The opening(s) may be illuminated by a light guide disposed within the housing, which scatters light emitted from lights disposed within the housing. In some instances, a hole may pass through a printed circuit board to allow acoustic signals to be received by the microphone disposed below the printed circuit board. An input/output (I/O) interface module with multiple buttons and inputs may be installed in the hole. The multiple buttons and I/O ports of the I/O interface module may be aligned along an axis vertical relative to the housing and centered with respect to each other.

A high-voltage transducer includes a housing, which spatially encloses at least one electrical measuring device and an insulating gas. The insulating gas is clean air, with which electrical insulation in the housing of the high-voltage transducer is carried out. A method for measuring with the high-voltage transducer is also provided.

A method of applying a cover to a housing may include bonding a plurality of reinforcement elements to respective inside corners of a textile having an initial shape and disposing the plurality of reinforcement elements within respective recesses at corners of the housing to secure the textile to the housing. Disclosed herein is a grill-integrated low-pass filter. The grill-integrated low-pass filter includes a conduit-type low-pass filter part in which a sound conduit is formed inside an internal space of a grill, which is a mechanism assembled and used in a housing, in an empty tubular form, and the conduit-type low-pass filter part is integrated with the grill. According to the present invention, there are provided the grill-integrated low-pass filter that is designed in a structure in which the sound conduit is formed inside the internal space of the grill disposed and used in a housing in order to protect a speaker driver, etc. and is thus fabricated in a grill-integrated form, thereby achieving the effects of improving the sound quality of the speaker and reducing characteristic deviations in a low-frequency band.

A smart system includes smart device features and power and connectivity components. The system includes a power supply, which allows the smart system to be powered in a wireless manner. This allows the smart system to become portable and untethered. The system also includes a communications module, such as, but not limited to, WiFi, Bluetooth, and/or cellular data. The communications module creates a network for the smart system to connect, which provides inputs for the smart dev system ice. The same or a different communications module allows the smart system to connect to a second or separate output, such as a portable speaker, to provide a portable, smart system to incorporate smart functionality and better audio quality in a portable manner.

A flat plate audio transducer. A front panel and a back panel are connected via a frame. One or more electromagnetic actuators are mounted between the two panels. Voice coils are used as the actuators in some embodiments. Stiffening braces are preferably run between groups of actuators to prevent unwanted resonance phenomena. A loudspeaker unit includes a frame that supports a diaphragm and a magnetic circuit. The frame includes: a first support supporting a perimeter of the diaphragm; a pedestal extending outwardly from a perimeter of the first support; fastening portions provided in positions on the pedestal that surround the perimeter of the first support; and reinforcements disposed in regions of the pedestal between the fastening portions, and fixed to the first support and the pedestal. The reinforcements include: a first plate portion that is a plate-shaped portion disposed in front of the pedestal to face the pedestal, and has a bent shape that protrudes in the forward direction; and a second plate portion that is a plate-shaped portion disposed in front of the pedestal to face the pedestal and the first plate portion, and has a bent shape that protrudes in a rearward direction.

One or more earbuds comprise one or more external connectors for removably coupling the earbuds with an additional article. The one or more earbuds are additionally able to comprise magnets for removably coupling with each other. In some embodiment, the one or more earbuds are configured to removably couple with a base unit. Based on a coupling and decoupling of the one or more earbuds with the base unit, a signal is sent to control a remotely located electronic device.
