SUPPORT DEVICE

A support device adapted to support an electronic device is provided. The electronic device has a display surface. The support device includes a base, a support frame, and at least one torque fixing assembly. The base includes a first arc surface portion. The support frame includes a second arc surface portion opposite to the first arc surface portion and an axis. The support frame rotates along the axis such that the second arc surface portion slides relative to the first arc surface portion and the electronic device switches between a first use state and a second use state. The torque fixing assembly is disposed at the first arc surface portion and the second arc surface portion. When the second arc surface portion slides relative to the first arc surface portion, the second arc surface portion rubs against the torque fixing assembly and torque is generated.

Embodiments are generally directed to an integrated sound bar hinge assembly for a mobile electronic device. A wearable electronic device may include a hinge assembly body; at least one hinge set coupled with hinge assembly body to hingeably couple a first portion of a mobile device to a second portion of the mobile device; and at least one speaker bracket contained in the hinge assembly body to install a first speaker.

TUBULAR PASSIVE ACOUSTIC RADIATOR MODULE
20190281382 · 2019-09-12 ·

A low cost/high efficiency passive radiator module component includes: a tubular ported cavity structure adapted for placement inside an acoustic enclosure with a port communicating out of the acoustic enclosure and one or more pairs of passive radiators symmetrically oriented and supported on opposing side walls of the ported cavity each having a predetermined or tuned mass distribution, stiff acoustic radiating diaphragm surfaces, and spaced apart inner and outer suspensions configured to suppress diaphragm wobble that induces each pair to symmetrically vibrate inertially responsive to variable sound pressure pulses originating from an active acoustic radiator within the acoustic enclosure. Different variable acoustic pressure pulses may be detected inside and outside the ported cavity; the constricting horn connecting to the ported cavity from outside may be tuned by horn loading to achieve a desired effect.

MEDIA APPLIANCE WITH AUXILIARY SOURCE MODULE DOCKING AND FAIL-SAFE ALARM MODES
20190278560 · 2019-09-12 ·

A media entertainment system including an appliance having an electronic data communications interface, a computer processor operatively connected to an auxiliary source module (ASM), the ASM configured to receive control information from the appliance and to send control information, media metadata, and media files or media streams to the appliance. At least one display is operatively connected to the computer processor and configured for displaying media metadata, current time, alarm time, system playback volume levels and alarm volume levels. One or more user interfaces are operatively connected to the computer processor and configured to receive user metadata selections and for receiving user settings for plural media source presets, playback volume settings, time settings, plural alarm settings, and plural alarm volume level settings. Each alarm and associated media source may have its own user selectable specific volume level setting that controls the appliance audio output volume when an alarm is triggered.

Portable speaker apparatus and method

A speaker apparatus, method, and system with a user selectably expandable chamber is provided. The chamber in its expanded state enhances the speaker's acoustical properties using a relatively stiff back plate of the speaker apparatus. The chamber in its collapsed state provides a thin profile for increased portability or low profile mounted solutions. The speaker is compatible with current electronics and may magnetically attach to a target surface such as a surface of a handheld device. The target surface may effectively supplement the stiffness of the back plate.

Smart cutting board

A cutting board assembly is described. The cutting board assembly includes a cutting board, a docking station, and a computing device. The cutting board includes a cutting surface affixable to an electronics portion. The electronics portion includes a digital display. The docking station is configured to receive the cutting board. The docking station includes: at least one speaker, at least one camera, at least one microphone, and a wireless charger. The computing device includes an application. The application is in wireless communication with the electronics portion and one or more of the at least one speaker, at least one camera, and at least one microphone.

Wireless audio streaming system for swimmers and under water applications
11984936 · 2024-05-14 · ·

A wireless audio streaming system for swimmers and underwater applications uses directional transmission antennas, one or more reception antennas worn on a user, and a combination of radio frequency and near-field magnetic induction communication, for streaming audio to a swimmer, buffering the streamed audio, and allowing the user to play the audio on a wireless, waterproof headset.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CALIBRATING SPEAKERS

Systems and method are disclosed for facilitating efficient calibration of filters for correcting room and/or speaker-based distortion and/or binaural imbalances in audio reproduction, and/or for producing three-dimensional sound in stereo system environments. According to some embodiments, using a portable device such as a smartphone or tablet, a user can calibrate speakers by initiating playback of a test signal, detecting playback of the test signal with the portable device's microphone, and repeating this process for a number of speakers and/or device positions (e.g., next to each of the user's ears). A comparison can be made between the test signal and the detected signal, and this can be used to more precisely calibrate rendering of future signals by the speakers.

System with Speaker, Transceiver and Related Devices and Methods

A method includes wirelessly receiving audio content via a first transceiver included in a housing of a first device and producing a first audible signal from the audio content via a speaker included in the housing of the first device. The audio content is wirelessly transmitted via the first transceiver to a second transceiver integrated within a first remote speaker. A second audible signal is produced from the audio content via the first remote speaker. The method also includes wirelessly relaying the audio content via the second transceiver to a third transceiver integrated within a second remote speaker and producing a third audible signal from the audio content via the second remote speaker. The second remote speaker is located outside of the transmission range of the first transceiver.
