PARABOLIC-SHAPED RECEPTACLE FOR A COMPUTING DEVICE WITH AN AUDIO DELIVERY COMPONENT

A parabolic-shaped receptacle is provided. The parabolic-shaped receptacle has a frame having a left side that has a left parabolic curvature and a right side that has a right parabolic curvature. Further, the parabolic-shaped receptacle has one or more speaker ports. In addition, the parabolic-shaped receptacle has a coupling mechanism that couples a computing device to the frame such that one or more speakers of the computing device are aligned with the one or more speaker ports to deliver audio from the one or more speakers through the one or more speaker ports. The parabolic-shaped receptacle also has a left receptacle speaker positioned on the frame along the left parabolic curvature to the left of the one or more speaker ports. Further, the parabolic-shaped receptacle has a right receptacle speaker positioned on the frame along the right parabolic curvature to the right of the one or more speaker ports.

Audio system having integral handle

An audio system includes a housing that defines an acoustic enclosure, an acoustic driver supported by the housing and arranged to radiate acoustic energy from a front surface of the housing, an acoustic exit located in a rear surface of the housing, opposite the front surface. The acoustic exit has a shape that facilitates a grasping of the housing with a plurality of fingers and the thumb from a single human hand, such that at the plurality of fingers or the thumb can be inserted into the exit while the plurality of fingers or the thumb of the same hand can rest on a top surface of the housing.

Portable speaker assembly

A portable speaker assembly includes a first shell that may insertably receive an electronic device. The first shell is comprised of a rigid material to protect the electronic device from impact damage. A second shell is slidably coupled to the first shell such that each of the first shell and the second shell form a case. The second shell insertably receives the electronic device. The second shell is comprised of a rigid material to protect the electronic device from impact damage. An audio unit is coupled to the case to emit audible sounds outwardly from the case. The audio unit is in wireless electrical communication with the electronic device thereby facilitating the audio unit to receive an audio signal from the electronic device.

Embodiments are generally directed to an integrated sound bar hinge assembly for a mobile electronic device. A wearable electronic device may include a hinge assembly body; at least one hinge set coupled with hinge assembly body to hingeably couple a first portion of a mobile device to a second portion of the mobile device; and at least one speaker bracket contained in the hinge assembly body to install a first speaker.

System with speaker, transceiver and related devices

An audio system includes a base station, an interface that enables transmission of audio content from a handheld media device to the base station via a cable, and one or more remote speakers configured to receive the audio content from the base station. The base station includes a housing, a speaker integrated within the housing to produce an audible signal from the audio content provided by the handheld media device, and a transceiver integrated within the housing for wirelessly transmitting the audio content to the one or more remote speakers. The one or more remote speakers are configured to wirelessly relay the audio content, thereby to supply the audio content beyond the transmission range of the transceiver.

Removable speaker system

A speaker assembly is provided with a housing, a first speaker and a second speaker both supported by the housing, and a controller. The controller is programmed to determine a location of the housing relative to a docking station. The controller is further programmed to disable the second speaker and control the first speaker to play a low-frequency component of an audio signal in response to the housing being located proximate to the docking station.
