Receiver with coil wound on a stationary ferromagnetic core
A receiver includes an acoustic module and a coil module. The acoustic module includes a first housing, a plurality of magnets, and an armature. The armature is disposed within the first housing and extends between the plurality of magnets. The coil module is coupled to the acoustic module, is physically separate from the acoustic module, and includes a second housing and a coil. The coil disposed within the second housing and does not surround the armature. The coil is excitable by an electrical current representative of acoustic energy and excitation of the coil produces a magnetic flux path which moves the armature.
Double-sided speaker
The present disclosure provides a double-sided speaker, comprising a combination of a magnetic conductive carrying board and a side magnetic conductive member (or magnetic conductive carrying board component), a first magnetic circuit module, a second magnetic circuit module, a first voice coil, a second voice coil, a first vibrating component, and a second vibrating component. The magnetic conductive carrying board comprises two sidewalls and a bottom plate. The two sidewalls are disposed at two sides of one side surface of the bottom plate. The side magnetic conductive member is disposed at two sides of the other side surface of the bottom plate. The first magnetic circuit module is disposed at one side of the magnetic conductive carrying board. The second magnetic circuit module is disposed at the other side of the magnetic conductive carrying board.
Electro-acoustic transducer diaphragm with integrated structural features, and related systems and methods
An electro-acoustic transducer has an acoustic diaphragm and a voice-coil. The diaphragm defines a first major surface. A flange extends from the diaphragm in a direction opposite the first major surface. The voice-coil has a first plurality of windings positioned adjacent to the acoustic diaphragm and a second plurality of windings positioned distally from the acoustic diaphragm. The flange overlaps the first plurality of windings. The flange and the windings can be adhesively bonded with each other to form a lap joint. The lap joint can transfer force from the voice-coil to the diaphragm.
Loudspeaker motor and suspension system
A loudspeaker includes a voice coil in a balanced state. In the loudspeaker, at least a first suspension element acts on a first side of the voice coil, and at least a second suspension element acts on a second side of the voice coil. The loudspeaker includes a symmetric magnet assembly. The voice coil aligns with the symmetric magnet assembly. The symmetric alignment contributes to the loudspeaker yielding substantially symmetric motor force (BL), suspension stiffness (K), and inductance (Le).
Speaker
Provided is a speaker, including frame, vibration unit, and magnetic circuit unit driving the vibration unit and having magnetic gap, the vibration unit including diaphragm fixed to the frame, voice coil component fixed to the diaphragm and driving the diaphragm, and lower voice diaphragm component supporting the voice coil component. The voice coil component includes voice coil inserted in the magnetic gap and holder fixed to the diaphragm and the voice coil, the voice coil includes first and second voice coil portions. The first voice coil portion is arranged close to the lower voice diaphragm component and is fixed to the lower voice diaphragm component through the holder. The first voice coil portion includes two first sides and second side connecting thereto, and the second voice coil portion protrudes away from the second side. The voice coil component has greater circumference than the racetrack voice coil, enabling better acoustic performance.
Wireless earplug with improved sensitivity and form factor
An improved wireless communications earplug for use with a magnetic field transmitter. The wireless earplug has a receiver made of a coil of wire on a magnetic bobbin, mounted in close proximity or in contact with a magnetic case of a speaker. The magnetic case of the speaker serves to increase the magnetic flux through the receiver and improves the efficiency of the earplug. The speaker is acoustically coupled to an eartip, and the earplug may be molded into a custom earplug body.
MAGNETIC MOTOR DEVICE OF AN ELECTRODYNAMIC TRANSDUCER
A magnetic motor device of an electrodynamic transducer, which includes a bonded annular magnet and a tubular element mounted coaxially relative to the bonded annular magnet. The bonded annular magnet includes a magnetic cylindrical surface, while the tubular element includes a winding extending opposite the magnetic cylindrical surface, the tubular element configured to be driven axially relative to the bonded angular magnet when electric power is supplied to the winding. A metal tubular member includes a metal cylindrical surface, and the metal tubular member is mounted coaxially relative to the tubular element such that the metal cylindrical surface extends opposite the magnetic cylindrical surface relative to the winding.
Sound production using speaker enclosure with reduced internal pressure
Techniques are provided for generating sound using a speaker mounted to an enclosure (e.g., speaker cabinet) wherein a gas pressure level (e.g., air pressure level) inside the enclosure is lower than an ambient air pressure level outside the enclosure. The reduced gas pressure level within the enclosure provides an environment with a reduced pressure level at a back side of a speaker cone of the speaker, which enhances a low frequency response for a given speaker size, while also minimizing resonant frequencies and phase cancellation issues which could otherwise occur with conventional speaker systems in which acoustic sound waves are generated at the back side of the speaker cone. A pressure compensation system is utilized counteract a force applied to the front side of the speaker cone as a result of the gas pressure level inside the enclosure being lower than the ambient air pressure level outside the enclosure.
Speaker control device
A speaker control device in one embodiment includes a time to digital converter connected to a drive power source in series with a drive circuit for driving a plurality of coils of a speaker, the converter outputting a digital data in accordance with a voltage of the drive power source, and a monitor circuit detecting a state of the plurality of coils of the speaker based on digital data output by the time to digital converter.
