The battery module comprises a battery for powering the hearing device; a conductor unit for providing electrical connection to the battery; a conductive adhesive arranged between the battery and the conductor unit for connecting the conductor unit to the battery to form a battery component; and a coating provided at least partly around the battery component to form the battery module.
Hearing aid with magnetostrictive electroactive sensor
A hearing aid includes a magnetostrictive electroactive (ME) sensor that generates an electrical signal in response to a magnetic field or a mechanical pressure. In various embodiments, the ME sensor is used for cordless charging of a rechargeable battery in the hearing aid by generating an electrical signal in response to a magnetic field generated for power transfer, magnetic sound signal reception, and/or detection of user commands by sensing a magnetic field or a pressure applied to the hearing aid.
Hearing device with embedded integrated circuit chips
A hearing device includes: a multi-chip assembly including a plurality of integrated circuit chips, the plurality of integrated circuit chips including one or a combination of a wireless communication chip, a power management chip, and a signal processing chip; wherein the multi-chip assembly comprises: a first layer having a surface, a spacer layer being configured to accommodate one or more of the plurality of integrated circuit chips as one or more embedded chips, and a ground layer below the first layer and the spacer layer, and a first shielding layer between the spacer layer and the first layer.
Subcutaneous microphone having a central pillar
In a subcutaneous microphone used in medical devices, a structure is introduced that constrains the motion of the diaphragm during normal operation of the microphone. In one embodiment, a raised portion, such as a pole or pillar is placed in the chamber at the middle of the diaphragm. The raised portion may contact one or both of the bottom surface of the chamber and the underside of the membrane, and generally acts to reduce the amount of deflection experienced by the membrane.
POWER MANAGEMENT IN LOW POWER WIRELESS LINK IN A HEARING AID SYSTEM
A hearing aid system is configured for managing the power of a wireless link. The hearing aid system includes a first hearing aid device and a mobile device, each of the devices including a transmit and receive unit for establishing a short range wireless link between the devices. At least one of the devices includes: a microphone configured to receive an acoustical audio signal; a signal processor configured to process an audio signal based on the acoustical audio signal; and first link quality estimating circuitry configured to determine rate of change of a link quality signal. The at least one of the devices is configured to transmit the link quality signal to the other device, and the other device is configured to determine a power level of transmission of an information packet based on the rate of change of the link quality signal via a power controller comprised by the other device.
Wireless earphone charger, wireless earphone and wireless earphone system
Provided are a wireless earphone charger, a wireless earphone, and a wireless earphone system that improve visibility and design of an indicator of the charger. The wireless earphone charger 3 is configured to charge a wireless earphone including a receiving circuit 141, 241 configured to receive a sound signal via a wireless communication line, and an earphone rechargeable battery 15, 25 configured to charge power to be supplied to the receiving circuit. The wireless earphone charger includes a rechargeable battery 35 configured to charge power to be supplied to the earphone rechargeable battery, an indicator 34A configured to indicate a plurality of indication modes, and a controller 39 configured to switch the indication modes. The indication modes of the indicator include a first indication mode for indicating a remaining power of the rechargeable battery, and a second indication mode for indicating a remaining power of the earphone rechargeable battery. The indicator indicates only one of the indication modes.
Hearing instrument
A hearing instrument is specified having a rechargeable battery, a charging coil for inductively receiving energy for charging the battery, a transmitter and/or receiver coil electrically separated from the charging coil for inductively transmitting and/or receiving data, and a magnetic core. Both the charging coil and the transmitter and/or receiver coil are wound on the magnetic core.
Earpiece Charging Case Detection
A system with an earpiece that comprises a rechargeable earpiece power source and a case that is configured to interface with the earpiece in an earpiece power source charging configuration and comprises a case power source that is configured to recharge the earpiece power source. A detection circuit, located in part in the earpiece and in part in the case, includes at least one earpiece electrical contact that is configured to electrically couple to at least one case electrical contact when the earpiece is interfaced with the case in the earpiece power source charging configuration. The detection circuit is configured to detect, using the earpiece and case electrical contacts, whether the earpiece is interfaced with the case in the earpiece power source charging configuration, even if one of the earpiece power source and the case power source does not have power.
Hearable device comprising integrated device and wireless functionality
A device that includes a board, a first integrated device coupled to the board, a speaker coupled to the first integrated device, a microphone coupled to the first integrated device and a power source configured to provide power to the first integrated device, the speaker and the microphone. The device has a length of about 2.4 centimeter (cm) or less, and a diameter of about 1.2 centimeter (cm) or less. The first integrated device includes a processor. The device further includes a second integrated device configured to provide wireless communication capabilities. The device further includes a wireless charging circuit to enable wireless charging of the power source.
Alignment between charging elements of a hearing device and a charger
