Detection of filter clogging for hearing devices

The disclosure relates to a battery charger for one or more hearing devices, comprising: a test sound generator configured to produce testing sound; an input configured to obtain first information regarding a first microphone output of a first hearing device in response to the testing sound and obtain second information regarding a second microphone output in response to the testing sound. A processing unit is configured to detect a clogging of a filter such as a wax filter based at least in part on the first information regarding the first microphone output of the first hearing device, and based at least in part on the second information regarding the second microphone output. An output is configured to provide a signal indicating the clogging of the filter.

PROSTHESIS STATE AND FEEDBACK PATH BASED PARAMETER MANAGEMENT

A computing device includes: an input configured to be coupled to, or carried by, a user of a hearing device, the hearing device configured to receive sound from an environment defined by an acoustic scene; one or more memory units; and one or more processing units; wherein the one or more sensors are configured to measure a stress parameter related to stress of the user, the stress parameter being related to the acoustic scene; wherein the computing device is configured to obtain the measured stress parameter; and wherein the one or more processing units of the computing device comprise a program configured to determine an indication of stress of the user based on at least the stress parameter.

INTERACTIVE SYSTEM FOR HEARING DEVICES

In an audio signal, one or more processing circuits recognize spoken content in a user's own speech signal using speech recognition and natural language understanding. The spoken content describes a listening difficulty of the user. The one or more processing circuits generate, based on the spoken content, one or more actions for hearing devices and feedback for the user. The one or more actions attempt to resolve the listening difficulty. Additionally, the one or more processing circuits convert the user feedback to verbal feedback using speech synthesis and transmit the one or more actions and the verbal feedback to the hearing devices via a body-worn device. The hearing devices are configured to perform the one or more actions and play back the verbal feedback to the user.

METHOD FOR SAFE LISTENING AND USER ENGAGEMENT

A system and method for monitoring user sound exposure are disclosed. The system can include receiving audio data generated by an audio source, such as a mobile phone music player, and ambient sound data. Based on this received sound data, the system can determine a cumulative sound exposure for the user, compare the cumulative sound exposure to a threshold, and provide an alert to the user according to the comparison. Based on whether the user adheres to recommended safe listening standards, the system can take additional actions, including providing reports to the user or automatically controlling the volume of the sound that the user is exposed to.

AUDIO TRAINING
20220264234 · 2022-08-18 ·

Presented herein are audio training techniques that facilitate the rehabilitation of a recipient of an auditory prosthesis. In certain embodiments, the audio training techniques presented herein may include real time training aspects in which the recipient's surrounding (ambient) auditory environment, including the sounds present therein, is analyzed in real time. The recipient can then be provided with a real time identity (e.g., audible or visible representation/description) of the sounds present in the auditory environment. The identity of the sounds can be provided to the recipient automatically and/or in response to recipient queries.

Tracking happy moments of hearing device users

A method is described for tracking happy moments of a user wearing a hearing device comprising at least one microphone and at least one classifier configured to detect specific states of the user or of the user's environment based on a sensor signal indicative of the user's mood.

Method and system for establishing network connection to a hearing aid

A system, method, hearing aid and software for providing a network connection for a computer device to at least one hearing aid having a gateway to the Internet. The system includes a user account server providing a user account database, each user account includes a unique identity for an associated hearing aid; a control server providing a hearing aid connection register including the unique identity of hearing aids associated with current connection information; and a network connection handling element for detecting the presence of a wireless connection between the hearing a and gateway, and for uploading current connection information to the control server. On receiving connection information, the control server updates the hearing aid connection register, and provides the current connection information to a requesting computer device. The computer device can establish a direct connection to the hearing aid based on current connection information requested from the control server.

HEARING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM WITH ENHANCED FALL DETECTION FEATURES

Embodiments herein relate to devices and related systems and methods for detecting falls. In an embodiment, a hearing assistance device is included having a first control circuit and a first motion sensor. The first motion sensor can be disposed in a fixed position relative to a head of a subject wearing the hearing assistance device. A first microphone and a first transducer for generating sound can be in operational communication with the first control circuit. The first control circuit can be configured to evaluate data from one or more sensors to detect a possible fall of a subject in physical contact with the hearing assistance device. The device can be configured to wirelessly transmit data regarding a possible fall to another device including an indication of whether the possible fall was detected binaurally or monoaurally. Other embodiments are included herein.
