Systems and methods for processing audio based on changes in active speaker
System and methods for processing audio signals are disclosed. In one implementation, a system may comprise a wearable camera configured to capture images from an environment of a user; a microphone; and a processor. The processor may be configured to receive an audio signal representative of sounds captured by the microphone during a time period; and receive the images captured by the wearable camera. The processor may process the audio signal in a first mode based on audio data accumulated in a buffer prior to the time period; detect a change in the active speaker from the first individual to a second individual; and cease processing in the first mode and process the audio signal in a second mode that differs from the first mode.
Method for realizing hearing aid function based on bluetooth headset chip and a bluetooth headset
The invention discloses a method for realizing hearing aid function based on Bluetooth headset chip and a Bluetooth headset: the common Bluetooth headset chip software of Bluetooth headset is upgraded to a specific Bluetooth headset chip with hearing aid function by a hearing loss correction software; a hearing aid algorithm module is embedded into the development kit of the common Bluetooth headset chip in the form of software library by the hearing loss correction software, so that the common Bluetooth headset chip has the hearing aid function only by software upgrade; after being processed by the hearing aid algorithm module, a sound signal is output to a hearing-impaired user, so that the hearing-impaired user can use the common Bluetooth headset to realize the hearing aid function. For the Bluetooth headset, a special hearing aid chip does not need to be installed or any change does not need to be made to the headset hardwares, and the function and price can meet the needs of hearing-impaired users, so that the hearing impaired users can enjoy great convenience from such a Bluetooth headset without buying expensive special hearing aid.
HEARING AID SYSTEM INTEGRABLE IN AN EYEGLASS FRAME
The present disclosure is related to an eyeglass frame system comprising at least two microphones in wireless communication with adapted air buds. The hearing aid system is configured with a video camera in communication with a face contour detection process that together with an audio processing system is performing beam forming of respective microphones thereby improving reception of audio sound from the direction of identified face contours.
System and method for personalizing a hearing aid
A method of personalizing at least one hearing aid for a hearing aid user including manufacturing at least one hearing aid (1), receiving an audiogram from a server (37) for the hearing aid user, programming the at least one hearing aid (1) by the audiogram, whereby the at least one hearing aid (1) becomes personalized for the hearing aid user. The at least one personalized hearing aid (1) is delivered to the hearing aid user. Once the user has received the at least one personalized hearing aid (1), he may take the hearing aids into use. If there arises a need for fine tuning, the hearing aid user may request a consultation with a hearing healthcare professional. The hearing healthcare professional has equipment (44, 45) for fine tuning the hearing aid (1), and he may fine tuning the at least one personalized hearing aid (1) in dialogue with the hearing aid user. Also provided is a hearing aid delivering system and an Internet enabled personal communication device.
SMART HEARING DEVICE FOR DISTINGUISHING NATURAL LANGUAGE OR NON-NATURAL LANGUAGE, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE HEARING SYSTEM, AND METHOD THEREOF
The inventive concept relates to a smart hearing device for providing a control parameter and feedback for a natural language or a non-natural language determined by analyzing sound data, which includes a receiving unit that receives sound data of a voice signal and a noise signal from a first microphone and a second microphone being formed at one side, a determination unit that compares digital flow of the sound data with a previously stored graph pattern to determine a natural language or a non-natural language for the sound data, a processing unit that matches similar data for the determined natural language or non-natural language, based on a database including a natural language area and a non-natural language area, and a providing unit that provides a user with a one-sided sound converted by setting a control parameter in a natural language or a non-natural language specified according to the matched similar data.
Source separation in hearing devices and related methods
Hearing device, accessory device, and a method of operating a hearing system comprising a hearing device and an accessory device is disclosed, the method comprising obtaining, in the accessory device, an audio input signal representative of audio from one or more audio sources; obtaining image data with a camera of the accessory device; identifying one or more audio sources including a first audio source based on the image data; determining a first model comprising first model coefficients, wherein the first model is based on image data of the first audio source and the audio input signal; and transmitting a hearing device signal to the hearing device, wherein the hearing device signal is based on the first model.
Hearing evaluation and configuration of a hearing assistance-device
A method for evaluating hearing of a user comprising: generating a baseline hearing profile for the user comprising a set of gain values based on a volume setting, each gain value in the set of gain values corresponding to a frequency band in a set of frequency bands; accessing a soundbite comprising a phrase characterized by a frequency spectrum predominantly within one frequency band; playing the soundbite amplified by a first gain in the frequency band; playing the soundbite amplified by a second gain in the frequency band; receiving a preference input representing a preference of the user from amongst the soundbite amplified by the first gain and the soundbite amplified by the second; and modifying a gain value, corresponding to the frequency band, in the baseline hearing profile based on the preference input to generate a refined hearing profile compensating for hearing deficiency of the user.
HEARING DEVICE OR SYSTEM COMPRISING A NOISE CONTROL SYSTEM
A hearing system comprises a hearing device, e.g. a hearing aid or a headset, configured to be worn by a user. The hearing device comprises at least one input transducer for providing at least one electric input signal representative of sound in the environment of the hearing device, wherein said at least one electric input signal comprises a target signal component assumed to be of current interest to the user, and a noise component. The hearing device further comprises a noise control system configured to provide an estimate of said target signal component and an estimate of said noise component and to apply a statistical structure to said noise component to thereby provide a modified noise component comprising said statistical structure; and to determine a modified estimate of said target signal component in dependence of said modified noise component. Thereby an improved segregation of sound sources may be provided.
Audio enhancement for hearing impaired in a shared listening environment
An electronic apparatus and method for enhancement of audio for users with a hearing impairment in a shared listening environment is provided. The electronic apparatus receives first audio content from a media source and detects a first user with a hearing disability as a wearer of the personal listening device. The electronic apparatus modifies one or more features of the first audio content based on an audio enhancement profile associated with the detected first user.
