Configuration of feedback cancelation for hearing aids
In one example, a method includes determining, by one or more processors of a hearing aid programmer, values for one or more properties of a first hearing aid; obtaining, by the one or more processors, based on feedback cancelation configurations of a plurality of other hearing aids having the same values for the one or more properties as the first hearing aid, a predicted initial feedback cancelation configuration for the first hearing aid; and programming, by the one or more processors, the first hearing aid based on the predicted initial feedback cancelation configuration.
Wireless earphones that play lossy compressed streaming audio
Left and right earphones are independently wireless such that the left and right earphones are not physically connected when worn by a user. Each earphone comprises a speaker, a body portion, and an earbud extending from the body portion. The body portion comprises a downwardly extending portion that extends straight downwardly when the earphone is worn by the user, a wireless communication circuit for receiving signals transmitted wirelessly to the earphone from a remote source, a microphone, a rechargeable battery, a memory and a processor. Each earphone is configured to receive from a remote computing device, and store in the memory, a firmware update.
Binaural hearing system comprising bilateral compression
The present disclosure relates to a method of performing bilateral dynamic range compression of first and second microphone signals generated by first and second hearing devices, respectively, of a binaural hearing system. The method comprises to pick-up sound pressure inside an ear canal of the user's left or right ear by a first microphone to generate a first microphone signal in response to incoming sound and pick-up sound pressure inside an ear canal of the user's opposite ear by a second microphone to generate a second microphone signal in response to the incoming sound.
Hearing device with user driven settings adjustment
The present subject matter provides a hearing device with selective adjustment of processor settings based on various characteristics of an input sound, in response to adjustment of output sound volume by a user. This addresses problems of undesirable sound effects resulting from applying same changes to processor settings to input sounds of all levels, frequencies, and classes.
ADAPTIVE INTEGRATED, AND INTERACTIVE EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS AND HEARING HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS AND RELATED METHODS
A system, device, and wireless computer technology-implemented method for providing hearing healthcare education and communication for a patient, his/her communication partner, and a hearing care provider. The system provides the patient at least one educational and experiential module and a method for assessing the patient's comprehension of the module's lessons. The system further provides the patient with a method to select personal hearing aid and communication goals; a method to evaluate his/her progress on achieving each personal goal; and a method to report his/her hearing experiences. The system further provides a method to compare data reported by the patient to personalized thresholds. When one or more of the patient's reports do not meet the thresholds, the system sends automated alerts to the hearing care provider to encourage prompt remedial action and sends automated reminders to the patient to improve the patient's ability to achieve his/her personal goals.
CONTROL OF A HEARING DEVICE
A hearing aid device for augmenting environment sounds to alleviate a hearing loss of the user. The hearing aid device comprises a sensor to sense an input from the user in order to change one or more operating parameters of the hearing aid.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE, TERMINAL HEARING DEVICE AND METHOD TO OPERATE A HEARING AID SYSTEM
A method for operating a hearing aid system, the method including: providing an audio stream from a first communication device to a first terminal hearing device through a first wireless communication link, and wherein the audio stream is based on a personalized audibility feature of a predetermined user and an audio reproduction feature of the terminal hearing device; set up a second wireless communication link between the first terminal hearing device and a second communication device; providing the second audio stream through the second wireless communication link, and terminating at least the audio stream of the first communication link.
ACCESSORY DEVICE FOR A HEARING DEVICE
A hearing device and an accessory device for a hearing device is disclosed, the accessory device comprising an interface, one or more processors, and a memory, the memory having an audio configuration of the hearing device stored therein, the audio configuration comprising a visibility setting indicative of the hearing device, wherein the one or more processors are configured to: receive, via the interface, a configuration request for update of the audio configuration, the configuration request comprising an updated visibility setting; determine, in response to the configuration request, an updated audio configuration including the updated visibility setting; and transmit, via the interface, the updated audio configuration to the hearing device.
HEARING DEVICE WITH MULTI-SOURCE AUDIO RECEPTION
A hearing device and method for operating a hearing device is provided, the hearing device comprising an interface, a processor, and a memory, wherein the hearing device is configured to receive, via the interface, first audio data from a first audio device; receive, via the interface, second audio data from a second audio device; determine an audio output scheme based on the first audio data and the second audio data; and provide an audio output according to the audio output scheme.
Wireless system for hearing communication devices providing wireless stereo reception modes
The present subject matter relates to the wireless stereo reception of first and second audio information by wireless hearing communication devices. One type of device which may employ the present subject matter is a hearing assistance device, such as a hearing aid. Various forms and protocols of signal transmission are employed in varying embodiments. The present subject matter includes various communication modes such as eavesdropping modes and relaying modes.
