In embodiments of the invention, the invention comprises a light tip cable including a cartridge assembly affixed to a medial end of the cable, the cartridge assembly including an emitter housing where the emitter housing includes an opening at a medial end of the housing and a flange at a lateral end of the housing. In embodiments of the invention, the cartridge assembly includes a light emitting element in the housing extending to the opening, retention features covering at least a portion of the housing, including the flange, the retention features comprising a lateral face and a lobe and at least one load bearing strand extending from the cable to the emitter; and electrical connectors extending from the cable to the light emitting element.

The hearing device further has a printed circuit board, on which a battery module is fastened. In particular, the printed circuit board is configured to be rigid, and is manufactured from a glass fiber-reinforced epoxy resin.

An acoustic device, comprising: a device body comprising: an acoustic membrane having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface; and at least one acoustic cavity formed adjacent the first surface of the acoustic membrane; a plurality of piezoelectric beam resonators supported over the first surface of the acoustic membrane and separated from the first surface by the at least one acoustic cavity, each of the plurality of piezoelectric beam resonators having at least one different natural frequency; wherein each of the plurality of piezoelectric beam resonators is configured to oscillate in response to sound pressure waves incident at the acoustic device.

HEARING AID CONNECTOR

In one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a compact connector including a light tip connector including a light tip cable connected thereto, the light tip connector including a receiving cavity including side walls and a bottom wall, guide channels formed in the side walls of the receiving cavity, a locking pin at a medial end of the guide channel and one or more light tip electrodes positioned on a bottom wall of the receiving cavity. In further embodiments of the present invention, a BTE connector includes a latch adapted to engage the locking pin to hold the BTE connector in the receiving cavity when the BTE connector is attached to the light tip connector. In a further embodiment, the compact connector includes a plurality of pogo pin electrodes arranged to contact the light tip electrodes when the BTE connector is attached to the light tip connector.

DIRECT PRINT CHASSIS FOR CONTACT HEARING SYSTEM

A contact hearing device includes a chassis, sulcus platform and umbo platform wherein the chassis is formed as a single continuous material, the sulcus platform is formed as a single continuous material, and the umbo platform is formed as a single continuous material. The chassis may include a receiver mount, a motor mount pocket and a central frame. The sulcus platform includes one or more registration features adapted to mate with at least a portion of the chassis, the umbo platform includes a drive post landing pad, the drive post landing pad including at least one alignment feature.

DAMPING IN CONTACT HEARING SYSTEMS

Embodiments of the present invent include a method of controlling unwanted vibration in a tympanic lens, wherein the tympanic lens comprises a perimeter platform connected to a microactuator through at least one biasing element, the method comprising the step of: damping the motion of the at least one biasing element. In embodiments of the invention, the at least one biasing element is a spring. In embodiments of the invention, the at least one bias spring is coated in a damping material.

A hidden cochlear implant system comprises a canal unit and an implanted unit. The canal unit comprises at least one canal microphone; a canal modulator; a canal transmitting antenna: and a canal electrical power source, wherein the at least one canal microphone is electrically connected to the canal modulator, the canal modulator is electrically connected to the canal transmitting antenna, and the canal electrical power source is electrically connected to any component of the canal unit that requires supply of electrical power. The implanted unit comprises a cochlear receiving antenna; a processor; and an electrode array, wherein the cochlear receiving antenna is electrically connected to the processor, and the processor is electrically connected to the electrode array. Additional embodiments of the hidden cochlear implant are disclosed herein.
