Control Device and Methods of Operating a Control Device
A method for a control device is disclosed. The method comprises configuring the control device to control a first networked device and while controlling the first networked device and while operating in a first mode, receiving, via the control device, first input data, the first input data indicative of a command to control an illumination device of the first networked device. After receiving the first input data, the method comprises controlling the illumination device of the first networked device. While controlling the first networked device and while operating in a second mode, the method comprises receiving, via the control device, second input data, the second input data indicative of a command to control a playback device of the first networked device. After receiving the second input data, the method comprises controlling the playback device of the first networked device.
Camera assembly with concave-shaped front face
The various implementations described herein include a camera device that includes: (1) a housing; (2) an image sensor positioned within the housing and having a field of view corresponding to a scene in the smart home environment; (3) at least one infrared (IR) illuminator positioned with the housing, the IR illuminator configured to selectively illuminate the scene; and (4) a front face that is at least partially concave-shaped and coupled to the housing, the front face positioned in front of the image sensor such that light from the scene passes through the front face prior to entering the image sensor, and the front face positioned in front of the IR illuminator such that IR light from the IR illuminator is directed through the front face.
Multi-frequency sensing system with improved smart glasses and devices
The systems and methods described relate to the concept that smart devices can be used to: sense various types of phenomena like sound, blue light exposure, RF and microwave radiation, and, in real-time, analyze, report and/or control outputs (e.g., displays or speakers). The systems are configurable and use standard computing devices, such as wearable electronics (e.g., smart glasses), tablet computers, and mobile phones to measure various frequency bands across multiple points, allowing a single user to visualize and/or adjust environmental conditions.
Playback device pairing
Technology for grouping, consolidating, and pairing individual playback devices with network capability (players) to stimulate a multi-channel listening environment is disclosed. An example method includes receiving an audio signal containing a range of audio frequencies; amplifying, according to a gain parameter, the audio signal to be reproduced by at least one speaker. The example method includes automatically increasing the gain parameter to a higher gain parameter responsive to a determination that no more than a subset of the range of audio frequencies is to be reproduced by the at least one speaker. The example method includes amplifying, according to the higher gain parameter, the audio signal containing no more than the subset of the range of audio frequencies to be reproduced by the at least one speaker.
Playback device self-calibration
Examples described herein involve configuring a playback device based on distortion, such as that caused by a barrier. One implementation may involve causing the playback device to play audio content according to an existing playback configuration, determining an existing frequency response of the playback device in a given system, and determining whether a difference between the existing frequency response of the playback device in the given system and a predetermined frequency response for the playback device is greater than a predetermined distortion threshold. If it is determined that the difference between the existing frequency response of the playback device and the predetermined frequency response for the playback device is greater than the predetermined distortion threshold, then the existing playback configuration of the playback device is changed to an updated playback configuration of the playback device and the playback device plays audio content according to the updated playback configuration.
POWER OUTLET CAMERAS
A security system can be configured to mount to a power outlet. The security system can include an outwardly facing portion configured to face away from the power outlet and an inwardly facing portion having a first electrical prong and a second electrical prong that protrude into the power outlet to mount the security system to the power outlet. The security system can also include a detection system comprising a camera and a motion detector.
Synchronized audio mixing
A first example playback device includes one or more processors and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the first playback device to perform functions. The functions include generating a mixed audio signal comprising one or more components of a first audio stream and one or more components of a second audio stream; and playing the mixed audio signal, where the one or more components of the second audio stream of the mixed audio signal played by the first playback device are played in synchrony with a second playback device configured to play the second audio stream. An example non-transitory computer-readable medium and an example method, both related to the first example playback device, are also disclosed herein.
Detecting a trigger of a digital assistant
Systems and processes for operating an intelligent automated assistant are provided. In accordance with one example, a method includes, at an electronic device with one or more processors, memory, and a plurality of microphones, sampling, at each of the plurality of microphones of the electronic device, an audio signal to obtain a plurality of audio signals; processing the plurality of audio signals to obtain a plurality of audio streams; and determining, based on the plurality of audio streams, whether any of the plurality of audio signals corresponds to a spoken trigger. The method further includes, in accordance with a determination that the plurality of audio signals corresponds to the spoken trigger, initiating a session of the digital assistant; and in accordance with a determination that the plurality of audio signals does not correspond to the spoken trigger, foregoing initiating a session of the digital assistant.
Networked gaming headset
In an audio setup including at least one audio device configurable to process audio for a first user of a plurality of user, an identifier may be assigned to a control dataset associated with the audio device, the control dataset including one or more control parameters relating to operation or functions of the audio device. At least a portion of the control dataset may be uploaded to a central depository that is accessible by a plurality of users; and access to the at least a portion of the control dataset in the central depository, by one or more of the plurality of users, may be managed. Access to the central depository may be managed via web-accessed service. Managing access to the at least a portion of the control dataset may include requiring validating any user requesting access to the at least a portion of the control dataset.
Wireless audio transmission system having at least one microphone hand-held transmitter and/or bodypack
A method of wireless audio transmission between a wireless transmitter and a wireless receiver in a program making special event PMSE system. An audio signal is transmitted from the at least one wireless transmitter to the wireless receiver by way of a first wireless transmission path. The at least one wireless transmitter is coupled to a smart device by way of a second wireless transmission path in order to exchange parameters and/or data. Exchange of parameters and/or data occurs between the smart device and the wireless receiving unit by way of a network, in particular the Internet.
