Dynamic Player Selection for Audio Signal Processing
In one aspect, a first playback device is configured to (i) receive a set of voice signals, (ii) process the set of voice signals using a first set of audio processing algorithms, (iii) identify, from the set of voice signals, at least two voice signals that are to be further processed, (iv) determine that the first playback device does not have a threshold amount of computational power available, (v) receive an indication of an available amount of computational power of a second playback device, (vi) send the at least two voice signals to the second playback device, (vii) cause the second playback device to process the at least two voice signals using a second set of audio processing algorithms, (viii) receive, from the second playback device, the processed at least two voice signals, and (ix) combine the processed at least two voice signals into a combined voice signal.
AN AUTOMATED MICROPHONE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ADJUSTMENT THEREOF
There is provided an automated microphone system (100) having a microphone (104). The system (100) comprises a microphone stand (102) having at least one movable arm (1022), at least one movable leg (1024) and a fixed base (1026) attached to the at least one movable leg (1024), the at least one movable arm (1022) being adapted to mount the microphone (104) at a first end and connected with the at least one movable leg (1024) at a second end, one or more sensors (106) disposed at one or more of the at least one movable leg (1024), the at least one movable arm (1022) and the fixed base (1026), one or more motors (108) connected with each of the at least one movable arm (1022), the at least one movable leg (1024) and the fixed base (1026) and a control module (110) connected with the one or more sensors (106) and the one or more motors (108).
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME
An electronic device and a method for controlling same are provided. The present electronic device comprises: a communication unit; and a processor configured to receive multiple audio signals via the communication unit, the multiple audio signals being acquired by multiple external electronic devices which have microphones, respectively, and which are positioned at different places, via microphones thereof, the processor being configured to determine at least one audio signal including a user voice uttered by a user among the multiple audio signals and to perform voice recognition regarding an audio signal acquired from the determined audio signals on the basis of the intensity of the determined audio signals.
Autonomously motile device with audio reflection detection
A device capable of autonomous motion may move in response to a user speaking an utterance, such as a command. Before moving, the device processes audio data received from a microphone array to identify different audio signals arriving at the device from different directions. Based on properties of the audio signals, the device determines which of the audio signals are merely reflections of other audio.
Audio device with dynamically responsive volume
Described herein is an audio device with a microphone which may adapt the audio output volume of a speaker by either increasing or decreasing output volume based on an audio input volume from a user and a distance from the user to the audio device. The audio device may also adapt its output volume to lower the audio output based on detecting one or more interruptions including occupancy and acoustic sounds.
AUDIO OUTPUT CONTROL
Systems and methods for audio output control are disclosed. Audio may be output via a speaker of a communal device associated with a first portion of an environment. A user may provide a user utterance indicating an intent to add another device in a second portion of the environment to the audio-output session, and/or an intent to move the audio-output session from the first device to the second device, and/or an intent to remove a device from an audio-output session. Based on this determined intent, audio-session queues may be associated and dissociated from devices and device states may be altered to effectuate the intent of the user utterance.

METHODS OF MANAGING DATA TRANSMISSION BY A NETWORK
Active management of a data network facilitates the high-quality live broadcast of captured digital audio from multiple client devices present in a venue. In various aspects, the system includes a network hub. The network hub transmits and receives data from a plurality of the client devices which may be personal mobile devices. A network manager component manages communications of the client devices with the network hub. The network manager uses measured dynamic network parameters and determines conditions for maintaining audio quality according to configurable rules. The dynamic network parameters may include device qualification(s), live measured audio quality of service metrics, and unwanted data packets. In various aspects, dynamic authentication and de-authentication of client devices as well as data transmission throttling of client devices are techniques utilized for active network management. The network manager maintains audio quality for the client device configured or selected to broadcast over the public address system.
Collaborative distributed microphone array for conferencing/remote education
A collaborative distributed microphone array is configured to perform or be used in sound quality operations. A distributed microphone array can be operated to provide sound quality operations including sound suppression operations and speech intelligibility operations for multiple users in the same environment.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND MEDIA FOR IDENTIFYING A PLURALITY OF SETS OF COORDINATES FOR A PLURALITY OF DEVICES
Methods, systems, and media for identifying a plurality of sets of coordinates for a plurality of devices are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: identifying each device in a plurality of devices associated with a user account; instructing the plurality of devices to perform an audio sequence; receiving a plurality of transit times from the plurality of devices; determining a plurality of distances based on the plurality of transit times; determining a plurality of sets of coordinates based on the plurality of distances; associating to each of the plurality of devices a corresponding unique one of the plurality of sets of coordinates; and causing at least one of the plurality of devices to play spatial audio determined from the plurality of sets of coordinates.
