Various implementations include loudspeakers and related waveguides. The loudspeakers can include an adjustable waveguide for modifying the coverage pattern of the audio output. In some particular aspects, a loudspeaker includes: a single speaker box with at least one driver; a waveguide having: a pair of opposing walls that are fixed with respect to the at least one driver; and at least one adjustable wall that is adjustable relative to the at least one driver; and at least one fin coupled to the waveguide for accommodating a gap between the pair of opposing walls and the at least one adjustable wall.

Systems and methods for psychoacoustic processing of audio material
10952011 · 2021-03-16 ·

Systems and methods herein utilize psychoacoustic principles to process audio signals to achieve a desired result. In some embodiments, an exemplary process utilizes a combination of re-harmonization and auditory processing techniques in which a plurality of filtered audio cues are sampled, created and down-mixed into a final music output, which may be designed to trigger specific effects on the function of the body and the brain. In some embodiments, enhanced audio material may be altered during the stream or fixed for a desired result at the beginning of the stream. In some embodiments, a signal enhancement process may be embedded into silicon or a media player, decoder or device with software. In other embodiments, audio or video material may be encoded or finalized into the media file.

Illuminated user interface architecture

This disclosure relates to speakers and more specifically to an array speaker for distributing music uniformly across a room. A number of audio drivers can be radially distributed within a speaker housing so that an output of the drivers is distributed evenly throughout the room. In some embodiments, the exit geometry of the audio drivers can be configured to bounce off a surface supporting the array speaker to improve the distribution of music throughout the room. The array speaker can include a number of vibration isolation elements distributed within a housing of the array speaker. The vibration isolation elements can be configured reduce the strength of forces generated by a subwoofer of the array speaker.

Driving circuit for sound producing device

A driving circuit is disclosed. The driving circuit includes a first node, coupled to at least a first air pulse generating element, wherein the driving circuit produces a first driving signal to the at least a first air pulse generating element via the first node; a second node, coupled to at least a second air pulse generating element, wherein the driving circuit produces a second driving signal to the at least a second air pulse generating element via the second node; a first swapping module, coupled to the first node and the second node, configured to be conducted within a first conduction interval; wherein a first voltage level at the first node and a second voltage level at the second node are substantially swapped after the first conduction interval.

Omnidirectional loudspeaker and compression driver therefor

A compression driver for an omnidirectional loudspeaker includes a motor assembly and a dome diaphragm disposed coaxially above and operably connected to the motor assembly, the diaphragm having a convex surface and a concave surface. The compression driver includes a phasing plug having a top portion and a bottom portion having a concave bottom surface disposed adjacent the convex surface of the diaphragm and defining a compression chamber therebetween. The phasing plug includes a plurality of conduits extending through the bottom portion for sound waves to travel and converging to form an annular exit, the top portion including a plurality of radially expanding channels acoustically connected to the annular exit. Actuation of the diaphragm by the motor assembly generates sound waves within the compression chamber which travel through the annular exit and the radially-expanding channels to create a generally horizontal 360 radiation pattern of the sound waves from the compression driver.

Various implementations include loudspeakers. In some particular cases, a loudspeaker includes: a diaphragm; a basket; an electro-magnetic motor supported by the basket and coupled to the diaphragm for driving motion of the diaphragm relative to the basket along a motion axis; a surround coupling an outer peripheral edge of the diaphragm to the basket; and a waveguide coupled to the basket and surrounding the diaphragm. The waveguide has an arcuate inner surface that is complementary with an arcuate outer surface of the diaphragm and extends along a portion of the arcuate outer surface of the diaphragm.

Low profile loudspeaker device

A loudspeaker device comprises first and second diaphragms (12, 14) arranged co-axially in an opposed relation to each other to cancel mechanical vibrations. Each diaphragm has multiple voice coils, with the voice coils of the first and second diaphragms (12, 14) arranged in the same plane to reduce the height of the loudspeaker device.
