A system and method for differentially locating and modifying audio sources that includes receiving multiple audio inputs from a set of distinct locations; determining a multi-dimensional audio map from the audio inputs; acquiring a set of positional audio control inputs applied to the audio map, each audio control input comprising a location and audio processing property; and generating an audio output according to the audio control inputs and the audio inputs. The audio control inputs capable of configuration through manual, automatic, computer vision analysis, and other configuration modes.

TECHNOLOGIES FOR WIRELESS AUDIO DEVICE SELECTION

Techniques for wireless audio device selection are disclosed. In the illustrative embodiment, a compute device uses visual training to recognize headphones worn by a user. When the user puts on the headphones, the compute device may recognize the headphones and automatically route audio output to the headphones. In some embodiments, when selecting from several possible wireless audio output devices, the compute device may determine a distance to each of the wireless audio output devices and select one of the wireless audio output devices based on the distance to the wireless audio output device.

Audio data processing method, electronic device, and storage medium

An audio data processing method, an electronic device, and a storage medium are provided, which are related to the field of data processing. The method includes: receiving sound production requests respectively sent by a plurality of sound production applications, wherein respective sound production requests include information of ports corresponding to respective sound production applications; acquiring audio data and sound mixing parameters corresponding to the respective sound production applications through the ports corresponding to the respective sound production applications; and mixing respective audio data according to the sound mixing parameters for the respective sound production applications, to generate audio data to be played.

A speaker device includes an electroacoustic transducer configured to convert an audio signal into a set of sound waves and a transmitter configured to transmit an electromagnetic signal that carries the audio signal for receipt at distances limited to an audibility range of the set of sound waves. The audibility range of the set of sound waves corresponds to a distance at which the set of sound waves is estimated to be below a predetermined sound level.

CHANNEL IDENTIFICATION OF MULTI-CHANNEL AUDIO SIGNALS

A method for channel identification of a multi-channel audio signal comprising X>1 channels is provided. The method comprises the steps of: identifying, among the X channels, any empty channels, thus resulting in a subset of Y≤X non-empty channels; determining whether a low frequency effect (LFE) channel is present among the Y channels, and upon determining that an LFE channel is present, identifying the determined channel among the Y channels as the LFE channel; dividing the remaining channels among the Y channels not being identified as the LFE channel into any number of pairs of channels by matching symmetrical channels; and identifying any remaining unpaired channel among the Y channels not being identified as the LFE channel or divided into pairs as a center channel.

Systems and methods are disclosed for networked audio automixing using array microphones and an aggregator unit that participate in making a common gating decision to determine which channels to gate on and off. Through the use of such a network of array microphones having the capability to generate submix audio signals and reduced bandwidth metrics, as well as AEC processing capability, array microphone lobe selection can be enhanced while maximizing signal-to-noise ratio, increasing intelligibility, and increasing user satisfaction.

DISTRIBUTED ALGORITHM FOR AUTOMIXING SPEECH OVER WIRELESS NETWORKS

Systems and methods are disclosed for operating a wireless audio network including a plurality of wireless microphone units (e.g., wireless delegate units) and a central access point having a mixer. The wireless microphone units may perform voice detection and level sensing, and make a preliminary gating decision. The central access point may make a final gating decision, determine the granting of wireless communications channels, and generate a final mixed audio output signal.
