An earplug includes a housing and a receiver positioned in the housing. The receiver may be configured to receive a wireless audio signal from an audio source external to the earplug and convert the wireless audio signal to an electrical audio signal. The earplug may include a speaker configured to receive electrical audio signal from the receiver and convert the electrical audio signal into audible sound output from a speaker port. The earplug may include a projection including an opening that defines at least a portion of a sound channel from the speaker. The projection may receive the audible sound output from the speaker and output the audible sound out of the earplug. The earplug may include earplug padding configured to form a seal with a user's ear canal. The earplug may include an acoustic vent positioned in the sound channel, including a waterproof membrane extending across the channel.

TEST INSTRUMENT FOR 5G CPE ANTENNA INSTALLATION

Disclosed are a test instrument and testing methods for audibly providing signal metrics (such as signal strength and/or signal quality) of fifth-generation network (5G) beams to assist installation of 5G Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) antenna at a premises. A test instrument may obtain signal metrics and provide audio output based on the signal metrics at various locations of the premises. The audio output may be transmitted to a headphone device worn by a user. In this manner, the user may select an appropriate location on the premises at which to install the 5G CPE antenna via audible queues that are based on the measured signal metric at a given location. The test instrument may provide fine-tuning capabilities by also audibly providing directional information that indicates where the 5G CPE antenna should be pointed or moved to align the 5G CPE antenna to a 5G beam.

The second remote speaker is located outside of the transmission range of the first transceiver.

According to certain embodiments, an electronic device comprises a microphone configured to acquire a signal including a voice signal and noise signal; a speaker; a memory; and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to: receive the signal from the microphone, wherein the signal corresponds to a plurality of predetermined frequency bands; identify portions of the signal corresponding to a first band and a second band of the plurality of frequency bands; calculate a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) values for each predetermined frequency band, based on the signal; obtain a first parameter for correcting the portion of the signal corresponding to the first band and a second parameter for correcting the portion of the signal corresponding to the second band, based on the calculated SNR values for the first band and the second band; and apply the first parameter and the second parameter to each of the predetermined frequency bands.
