A microphone adapter connects to and receives analog audio input from a microphone and an external music source, such as a smart phone. The microphone audio input signal and external music audio input signal are converted to digital signals and multiplexed into a digital wireless signal that may be transmitted directly to multiple speakers. The digital wireless signals are uncompressed, high definition digital audio signals transmitted in the 2.4 GHz band with a range of several hundred feet. The microphone adapter enables user to easily establish a pop-up public address system without the need for speaker cables, sound boards, mixers, and the like.

A charging device of a hearing aid has a charging unit, which has a housing with a housing cover and a magnet arranged therein and movably guided in a longitudinal direction. At one longitudinal end, a contact is attached on the magnet for the detachable, direct electrical contacting with a counter contact of the hearing aid. The contact is electrically connected by a line to a charging circuit, wherein the housing cover has an opening, within which the contact is inserted. The charging device is part of a system having a hearing aid.

An external audio device includes a USB (Universal Serial Bus) plug, an audio socket, a USB communication circuit, an audio socket detection circuit, a first power circuit, a second power circuit, and a control circuit. The USB communication circuit establishes a connection with a computer device coupled to the USB plug according to the communication protocol of USB. The audio socket detection circuit detects a plug-in state of the audio socket. The first power circuit generates a second power to the USB communication circuit according to a first power received from the USB plug. The second power circuit generates a third power to the audio socket detection circuit according to the first power. The control circuit enables or disables the first power circuit according to the plug-in state of the audio socket.

A hearing device plug connector may include a first connector component and a second connector component, wherein the hearing device plug connector includes a latching mechanism for securing the first connector component and the second connector component against unintended disconnection, wherein the latching mechanism includes a catch and a complementary latch component which are in latching engagement when the first connector component and the second connector component are connected, wherein the catch is moveable against a spring force from a latching position into a release position when connecting or disconnecting the first connector component and the second connector component, and wherein in the latching position the catch can engage with the complementary latch component and in the release position the catch can disengage from the complementary latch component. The hearing device plug connector may further include a sealing element for providing a seal between the first and second connector components.

An ear-wearable electronic device comprises a shell and a faceplate connected to the shell. Electronic circuitry and a power source are respectively disposed in the shell. A removal handle includes a proximal end connected to the faceplate. First and second electrical conductors extend along the removal handle and comprise first and second proximal ends coupled to the electronic circuitry. An electrical contact module is disposed at a distal end of the removal handle. The electrical contact module comprises a substrate. A first electrical contact is mounted on, or supported by, the substrate and coupled to a first distal end of the first electrical conductor. A second electrical contact is mounted on, or supported by, the substrate and coupled to a second distal end of the second electrical conductor.

Various implementations include portable loudspeakers. Certain implementations include a portable loudspeaker that mitigates ingress of moisture, particulates, and other contaminates. In particular implementations, the portable loudspeaker includes a housing with an enclosure having a co-molded construction for ingress resistance.

A power distribution system including a first and second speaker is provided. A connector for connecting a hearing aid to a cable, the connector comprising the following: a connector housing with at least one recess; and a seal with a main body arranged at least in part(s) on an outer circumference of the connector housing, and at least one coupling portion arranged at least partially in the recess, so that the seal is connected to the connector housing at least in part(s) in a substantially positive manner.
