SIGNAL PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD, AND PROGRAM TO REDUCE CALCULATION AMOUNT BASED ON MUTE INFORMATION
The present technology relates to a signal processing apparatus and method, and a program that make it possible to reduce an arithmetic operation amount.
The signal processing apparatus performs, on the basis of audio object mute information indicative of whether or not a signal of an audio object is a mute signal, at least either one of a decoding process or a rendering process of an object signal of the audio object. The present technology can be applied to a signal processing apparatus.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
Provided is an information processing device that performs processing on a content. An information processing device is provided with an estimation unit that estimates sounding coordinates at which a sound image is generated on the basis of a video stream and an audio stream, a video output control unit that controls an output of the video stream, and an audio output control unit that controls an output of the audio stream so as to generate the sound image at the sounding coordinates. A discrimination unit that discriminates a gazing point of a user who views video and audio is further provided, in which the estimation unit estimates the sounding coordinates at which the sound image of the object gazed by the user is generated on the basis of a discrimination result.
PORTABLE SPEAKER WITH AUTOMATIC DETECTING INPUT CHANNEL
Various implementations include portable speakers configured to adjust audio output based on detected input connections. In certain cases, a portable speaker includes: an enclosure housing: at least one electro-acoustic transducer for providing an audio output; a processor coupled with the transducer; an audio input module coupled with the processor for receiving audio input signals; and a battery configured to power the at least one transducer, the processor, and the audio input module; an input channel for receiving a hard-wired audio input connection; and at least one wireless input channel for receiving an audio input from a source device via a wireless connection, where the processor is configured to: adjust an audio signal received from the hard-wired audio input connection if a source device is already connected via the wireless connection.
Audio signal processing method and apparatus
Disclosed is an operation method of an audio signal processing device configured to process an audio signal including a first audio signal component and a second audio signal component. The operation method includes: receiving the audio signal; normalizing loudness of the audio signal, based on a pre-designated target loudness; acquiring the first audio signal component from the audio signal having the normalized loudness, by using a machine learning model; and de-normalizing loudness of the first audio signal component, based on the pre-designated target loudness.
System and method for augmenting vehicle sound system
An integration unit IU for tuning an OEM sound system augmented with aftermarket components, such as an amplifier or a subwoofer. The integration unit is contained in a small housing that can be installed inconspicuously in most vehicles without removing the original head unit. The unit may comprise a DSP-based active line output converter that is configured to automatically detect the frequency response and phase of the OEM head unit. The unit performs various algorithms to detect and analyze crossovers, EQ, time delay, and allpass filters and then matches left and right audio channels. The IU may allow for low bass correction detecting and defeating the factory high pass filter. Still further, the IU can correct the various filters to ensure a clean, uncolored audio signal for the augmented components.
ADAPTIVE VOLUME CONTROL FOR MEDIA OUTPUT DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
Various arrangements for performing dynamic volume control are provided. Audio characteristics of audio content being output to a user may be identified. Adjustments made to an audio volume setting by the user while the audio content is being output to the user can be monitored. A machine learning model can be trained based on the adjustments made to the audio volume setting by the user that are mapped with the audio characteristics of the audio content. After the machine learning model is trained, the audio volume setting can be adjusted based at least in part on the trained machine learning model analyzing audio content.
Variable sound system for audio devices
A system capable of self-adjusting both sound level and spectral content to improve audibility and intelligibility of electronic device audible cues. Audible cues are stored as sound files. Ambient noise is detected, and the output of the audible cues is altered based on the ambient noise. Various embodiments include processed sound files that are more robust in noisy environments.
Apparatus, Method and Computer Program for Enabling Audio Zooming
Examples of the disclosure relate to apparatus, methods and computer programs for enabling audio zooming. The apparatus can include circuitry configured for determining, for an audio signal, if sound energy in at least one first direction is different to sound energy in at least one second direction by at least a threshold amount. The circuitry may also be configured for controlling an amount of headroom provided based on whether or not sound energy in at least one first direction is different to the sound energy in at least one second direction by at least a threshold amount.
INTERCHANGEABLE CARTRIDGE AUDIO PREAMPLIFIER FOR MICROPHONE, AND KIT COMPRISING THE SAME
An audio preamplifier (1) for a microphone, including: a chassis (2) with at least one audio input (17) and at least one audio output, a control panel (3) including a gain selector (10) being arranged on one of the sides of the chassis (2), the chassis (2) further including a receiving compartment inside which a first connector is arranged; and a cartridge (6) comprising a preamplification circuit and a gain control circuit, the cartridge (6) further having a second connector complementary to the first connector, the cartridge (6) being configured for being inserted in a removable manner into the receiving compartment of the chassis (2) so as to connect the first and second connectors. An audio preamplification kit includes an audio preamplifier (1) and a plurality of additional cartridges.
