Electronic device that pauses media playback based on interruption context
An electronic device, computer program product, and method manage presenting and pausing of media content in response to locally detected visual and aural interruptions. The electronic device is configured to determine, using one or more sensors from among: (i) an image capturing device positioned to have a field of view of a monitored area and (ii) a microphone positioned to detect sounds in or near the monitored area. A consumer is in the monitored area during presenting of media content by a media output device. The electronic device is configured to monitor the one or more sensors to determine whether an interruption is occurring that can degrade consumer experience relative to the presenting of the media content. In response to determining that the interruption is occurring, the electronic device is configured to pause the presenting of the media content on the media output device.
Monitoring of Audio Signals
An apparatus and method for monitoring audio output is disclosed. The apparatus may comprise means for providing one or more primary audio signals based on signals from one or more first microphones associated with an audio capture device and providing one or more secondary audio signals based on signals from one or more second microphones associated with an audio monitoring device, the audio monitoring device being separate from the audio capture device and configured for output of the one or more primary audio signals and the one or more secondary audio signals through one or more loudspeakers. The apparatus may comprise means for modifying one or both of the primary and secondary audio signals such that output of the one or more primary audio signals are distinguished over output of the one or more secondary audio signals.
Power limiter configuration for audio signals
Example embodiments provide a process that includes one or more of receiving an audio signal at a feedback compressor circuit, multiplying the received audio signal with a power feedback signal to create a product audio signal, wherein the feedback signal comprises a low-pass filtered signal, applying a power amplifier to the product audio signal, and providing the amplified product audio signal as an output signal to a speaker.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VOLUME CONTROL
A method performed by a first electronic device, the method includes, while engaged in a call with a second electronic device, initiating a joint media playback session in which the first and second electronic devices independently stream media content for synchronous playback; driving a speaker with a mix of a downlink signal of the call and an audio signal of the media content at an overall volume level; receiving a user-adjustment at a single volume control for the first electronic device to reduce the overall volume level; in response to the user adjustment, applying a first gain adjustment to the downlink signal and a second gain adjustment to the audio signal; and driving the speaker with a mix of the downlink signal and the audio signal at the reduced volume level.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
Apparatus, systems, articles of manufacture, and methods for volume adjustment are disclosed herein. An example method includes collecting data corresponding to a volume of an audio signal as the audio signal is output through a device, when an average volume of the audio signal does not satisfy a volume threshold for a specified timespan, determining a difference between the average volume and a desired volume, and applying a gain to the audio signal to adjust the volume of the audio signal to the desired volume, the gain determined based on the difference between the average volume and the desired volume.
Method and apparatus for an interactive user interface
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to facilitate user interaction with, such as modification of, respective audio objects. An example method may include causing a multimedia file to be presented that includes at least two images. The images are configured to provide animation associated with respective audio objects and representative of a direction of the respective audio objects. The method may also include receiving user input in relation to an animation associated with an audio object or the direction of the audio object represented by an animation. The method may further include causing replay of the audio object for which the user input was received to be modified.
BASS ENHANCEMENT FOR LOUDSPEAKERS
A method of audio processing includes generating harmonics in a hybrid complex quadrature mirror filter domain. Generating the harmonics may include multiplication, using a feedback delay loop, and dynamic compression. The harmonics may be generated based on one or more hybrid sub-bands of the complex transform domain signal.
Multi-Purpose Protective Face Mask
A protective face mask implemented with a pocket located on a front surface of the mask A removable amplifier unit configured to be placed into the pocket, the removable amplifier unit comprising: a micro-processor configured to process voice data; a rechargeable battery coupled to the micro-processor; a Bluetooth device coupled to the micro-processor; a microphone coupled to the micro-processor and configured to provide the voice data to the micro-processor; and a speaker unit configured to output the voice data processed by the micro-processor.
Sound wave dead spot generation
A speaker system uses destructive wave interference to generate “dead spots” with respect to an audio presentation. The signal for the dead spot generating device can be an inverted signal generated using the audio signal. In one embodiment, the inverted signal is generated using the audio signal, an indication of loudness at one or more active speakers, and a determination of the characteristics of the sound path from the one or more active speakers (including delay and attenuation).
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An electronic device includes: an outer case, at least a portion of the outer case being configured to maintain a positional relationship between the electronic device and a wearer’s ear; a first sound generator and a second sound generator both provided inside the outer case; and a controller configured to control the first sound generator and the second sound generator to output sounds.
