Reinforced actuators for distributed mode loudspeakers
An actuator, attached to a panel extending in a plane, includes a frame and a magnetic circuit assembly that includes a magnet and a voice coil, the magnet and voice coil being moveable relative to each other during operation of the actuator along an axis perpendicular to the panel's plane. The actuator further includes one or more suspension members attaching the frame to a first component of the magnetic circuit assembly. Each suspension member includes a segment attaching the suspension member to the frame at an attachment point and a first arm extending away from the attachment point to an end attached to the first component of the magnetic circuit assembly. During operation of the actuator the first arm of the one or more suspension members flex to accommodate axial displacements of the magnet relative to the voice coil.

A flexible mobile device that appropriately adjusts the arrangement of a plurality of speakers provided in a mobile device based on the type of audio content includes the plurality of speakers; and a processor configured to analyze audio data; determine an angle between bending sides of the flexible electronic device including the plurality of speakers based on a result of analyzing the audio data; adjust the angle between the bending sides of the flexible electronic device to the determined angle; and output the audio data via the plurality of speakers included in the flexible electronic device in a state in which the bending sides of the flexible electronic device are adjusted to the determined angle.
VIBRATION DEVICE
A vibration device includes a plate-like glass vibrator and a plurality of exciters that are attached to the glass vibrator and configured to generate vibration according to an input electrical signal. An aspect ratio La/Lb of a length La of a longer side to a length Lb of a shorter side of a rectangle in which the glass vibrator is inscribed is 1.2 to 50. Provided that the number of the exciters is n and a minimum value of distance between the exciters is S.sub.min, a relational value α (α=S.sub.min−1)/La) is 0.2 to 0.8. In the case where the number n of exciters is 3 or larger, a value β(β=Sσ/S.sub.ave) obtained by dividing a standard deviation Sσ of distances by an average S.sub.ave of the distances between the exciters is 0 to 0.5.
