Bending actuators and panel audio loudspeakers including the same
A distributed mode loudspeaker (DML) includes a flat panel extending in a panel plane. The DML also includes a rigid, elongate member displaced from the flat panel and extending parallel to the panel plane, the elongate member being mechanically coupled to the flat panel at a first position along the elongate member and extending away from the first position to an end of the member free to vibrate in a direction perpendicular to the plane. The elongate member includes a soft magnetic material. The DML also includes an electromagnet system including at least one electrically-conducting coil having an axis perpendicular to the panel plane and displaced from the elongate member. The DML further includes an electronic control module electrically coupled to the electromagnet system and programmed to energize the electrically-conducting coil sufficient such that a magnetic field produced by the electrically-conducting coil displaces the free end of the elongate member.
Method and device for force concentration to enhance sound from flat panel loudspeakers
A mechanical coupling device and methods of use for concentrating dynamic force transmitted from a dynamic force actuator to a panel. The device comprises a concentrator surface that is coupled to an elastic panel. The concentrator surface is a continuous region with a surface area that may be smaller, larger, or the same surface area as a region in contact with a dynamic force actuator. The concentrator surface transmits a dynamic force to a region of the panel coupled to the concentrator surface.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
The present application provides an electronic device. After a display screen of the electronic device is attached to a screen frame, the display screen extends beyond the screen frame at at least two opposite edges and extends toward the second side of the display screen by taking the screen frame as an axis, and then the display screen is mounted by a mounting structure connected with the screen frame, so that the display screen is kept flat by a tensile force provided to the display screen via the mounting structure.
Display apparatus
A display apparatus including a display panel configured to display an image is disclosed. The display apparatus includes a supporting member on a rear surface of the display panel. The supporting member includes a groove. The display apparatus also includes a sound generator between the display panel and the supporting member, and configured to provide a vibration. The display apparatus further includes a vibration transfer member between the display panel and the sound generator, and configured to transfer the vibration of the sound generator to the display panel to generate sound.
Audio transducer attached to windshield or door
An audio system in a marine vessel may be created or enhanced using existing parts of the marine vessel. One or more audio transducers may be secured directly to the windshield, and once connected with an audio input, the windshield acts as a transparent speaker.
Display Apparatus And Signal Generation Apparatus
A display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a thin plate-like display cell that displays an image; M exciters that are disposed on a back surface side of the display cell, and vibrate the display cell; and a driving section that drives the display cell and the M exciters.
REINFORCED ACTUATORS FOR DISTRIBUTED MODE LOUDSPEAKERS
An actuator, attached to a panel extending in a plane, includes a frame and a magnetic circuit assembly that includes a magnet and a voice coil, the magnet and voice coil being moveable relative to each other during operation of the actuator along an axis perpendicular to the panel's plane. The actuator further includes one or more suspension members attaching the frame to a first component of the magnetic circuit assembly. Each suspension member includes a segment attaching the suspension member to the frame at an attachment point and a first arm extending away from the attachment point to an end attached to the first component of the magnetic circuit assembly. During operation of the actuator the first arm of the one or more suspension members flex to accommodate axial displacements of the magnet relative to the voice coil.
Display apparatus
A display apparatus includes: a display panel configured to display an image, the display panel including first, second, and third areas, a sound-generating device in at least one among the first, second, and third areas on a rear surface of the display panel, and at least one partition for dividing the first, second, and third areas from each other, the at least one partition including a first side and a second side at an angle to the first side, the second side including at least one member perpendicular to the second side, wherein: the first area is a left area of the display panel, the second area is a right area of the display panel, the third area is a central area of the display panel, and the member is in the third area.
Display apparatus
Disclosed is a display apparatus including a display panel configured to display an image by emitting light, a rear surface structure configured to surround lateral and rear surfaces of the display panel, a vibration generating device connected with the rear surface structure and configured to vibrate the display panel, a rear sound emitting portion between the display panel and the rear surface structure, a rear sound guide between the display panel and the rear surface structure to surround the vibration generating device in a spiral shape and configured to connect with the rear sound emitting portion.
Active distributed mode actuator
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for changing a distributed mode loudspeaker's fundamental frequency. One of the systems includes a distributed mode loudspeaker comprising an actuator that includes: a supported portion, and a cantilevered portion having a length, a first fundamental frequency, and adapted to create a force to cause vibration of a load to generate sound waves using the first fundamental frequency; a support element connected to the supported portion of the actuator and adapted to adjust, based on a change to a shape of the support element, a size of the length of the cantilevered portion to change the first fundamental frequency to a second fundamental frequency with which the load will generate sound waves; and a frequency selection module that provides a signal to the support element to cause the support element to change shape.
