Device generating sound

In the present invention, a device is provided with a main surface member, a piezoelectric body plate, a first support part, and a housing. The main surface member is used as a vibration plate. The piezoelectric body plate vibrates according to an electric signal. The first support part supports the piezoelectric body plate. The housing has a second support part that supports the main surface member and extends in a prescribed direction that intersects the main surface member. The first support part is secured to the second support so that the second support part vibrates in the prescribed direction according to the vibration of the piezoelectric body plate. The vibration of the piezoelectric body plate is transmitted to the main surface member via the first support part and the second support part, and due to this the main surface member vibrates to generate a sound.

Multilayer piezoelectric element, piezoelectric vibration apparatus, and electronic device

A multilayer piezoelectric element includes a ceramic base body, a pair of external electrodes, multiple internal electrodes, and surface electrodes. The pair of external electrodes cover a pair of end faces and extend from the pair of end faces along a pair of principal faces and a pair of side faces. The multiple internal electrodes are stacked inside the ceramic base body along the thickness direction, and are connected alternately to one or the other of the pair of external electrodes along the thickness direction. The surface electrodes extend from the pair of external electrodes along the pair of principal faces, and are each divided in the longitudinal direction at a position near, of the pair of external electrodes, the external electrode to which the internal electrode adjacent to the principal face is connected.

AN INTERIOR COMPONENT OF A VEHICLE

An interior component of a vehicle comprises a carrier having a front face directed toward a passenger compartment of the vehicle and an opposite rear face; a speaker including an at least partially transparent diaphragm and a transducer coupled to the diaphragm. Movement of the transducer causes vibration of the diaphragm to generate sound by vibration of the diaphragm, the diaphragm having a front face directed towards the passenger compartment and an opposite rear face. The carrier provides a support along at least part of the periphery of the diaphragm where the diaphragm is attached to the carrier where the front face and the rear face of the diaphragm are free of the carrier across a part of the diaphragm surface so that the diaphragm is suspended in the carrier of the interior component.

Display apparatus

A display apparatus includes a display module that includes a display panel and is configured to display an image. A rear cover is on a rear surface of the display module. A first vibration generating module is in a first rear region of the rear cover, and a second vibration generating module in a second rear region of the rear cover. The rear cover includes a first hole that overlaps the first vibration generating module, and a second hole that overlaps the second vibration generating module.

Display apparatus

The present disclosure relates to a display apparatus, and more particularly, to a display apparatus having a display panel capable of generating sound. A display apparatus according to the present disclosure includes: a display module; a guide panel disposed at circumferences of a rear surface of the display module; a back cover attached to the guide panel; a sound generating unit disposed between the display module and the back cover; and an adhesive fixing element and a vibration absorber disposed between the guide panel and the rear surface of the display module, wherein the adhesive fixing element fasten the guide panel to the rear surface of the display module, and wherein the vibration absorber is disposed at the guide panel as facing to inner portions of the display module.

On-board audio system for a model vehicle

A realistic simulation of the dynamic sounds of a full-sized vehicle are created on a moving R/C Scale Model. A mounting apparatus supports an audio exciter in a model vehicle without any modification to the exciter. A full range of volume of sound may be produced by the exciter without limiting the range of movement of the exciter as volume is increased or decreased. The apparatus may limit the mechanical excursion of the exciter to prevent physical damage to the exciter. The present invention also provides a method and apparatus for operating the audio exciter in a model vehicle.

Outlet receptacle cover and mode throttling system

In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, an electrical receptacle is provided. A first transmission tab configured to be electrically connected to a neutral terminal of the electrical receptacle is provided. A second transmission tab configured to be electrically connected to a live terminal of the electrical is provided. A speaker device in electrical communication with the first and second transmission tabs and a speaker grille cover secured to the receptacle cover are also provided. Other examples of the present disclosure relate to systems, methods and devices for influencing resonant modes of one or more vibrating surface, including a mode throttling device and an exciter device.

MECHANICALLY ACTUATED PANEL ACOUSTIC SYSTEM

An electronic device whose enclosure or housing panel is used as part of an acoustic system is described. The panel is divided into several sub-panels. For each sub-panel, the device includes one or more actuators attached to vibrate the sub-panel. The actuator and its attached sub-panel convert an audio signal to acoustic output. Each actuator and sub-panel combination may receive a separate audio signal. The device includes a digital signal processor for controlling each of the sub-panel driving audio signals. The device may further include one or more backing frames that are attached to the panel to provide boundary conditions to the sub-panels. The boundary conditions define a resonance frequency for each sub-panel.
