The display apparatus includes a display module including a display panel configured to display an image, a panel guide configured to support a rear periphery portion of the display panel, a rear cover configured to support the panel guide and to cover a rear surface of the display module, a first vibration generating module in a first portion of the rear cover, the first vibration generating module being configured to vibrate a center portion of the display panel, and a second vibration generating module in a second portion of the rear cover, the second vibration generating module being configured to vibrate a periphery portion of the display panel.
REINFORCED ACTUATORS FOR DISTRIBUTED MODE LOUDSPEAKERS
A panel audio loudspeaker includes a panel extending in a plane and an actuator coupled to the panel and configured to couple vibrations to the panel to cause the panel to emit audio waves. The actuator includes a rigid frame attached to a surface of the panel and the frame includes a portion extending perpendicular to the panel surface. The actuator also includes an elongate flexure attached at one end to the portion of the frame extending perpendicular to the panel surface, the flexure extending parallel to the plane and having a first width where the flexure is attached to the frame different from a second width where the flexure is unattached to the frame. The actuator further includes an electromechanical module attached to a portion of the flexure unattached to the frame, the electromechanical module being configured to displace an end of the flexure during operation of the actuator.
Electronic device with speaker module
An electronic device includes a first body, a second body, and a speaker module. The first body includes a first housing and a second housing disposed on the first housing. The second body is pivotally connected to the first body. The speaker module is movably disposed in the first body. The first body has a first surface and a second surface, and the first surface and the second surface are respectively located at two opposite sides of the speaker module. When the speaker module is abutted against the first surface, the speaker module resonates with the first housing to emit a first sound. When the speaker module is abutted against the second surface, the speaker module resonates with the second housing to emit a second sound.
Multi-resonant coupled system for flat panel actuation
A system includes a flat panel display having a panel resonant frequency response corresponding to a composition, shape, and structure of the flat panel display; and an actuator having an actuator resonant frequency response corresponding to a composition, size, and shape of the actuator; in which the actuator is mechanically-coupled to the flat panel display at a mechanical drive point, in which a coupled resonant frequency response of the system is lower than the panel resonant frequency response of the flat panel display.
Sound generator and display apparatus
Disclosed is a display apparatus including a display panel configured to emit light, a rear structure disposed on a rear surface of the display panel, a sound generating device fixed to the rear structure and configured to vibrate the display panel, and an insulation member disposed between the display panel and the sound generating device.
VIBRATION SYSTEM, SPEAKER APPARATUS AND VIDEO DISPLAYING APPARATUS
A vibration system includes a vibration plate and an edge portion disposed around the vibration plate. The vibration plate has a first region and a second region that have shapes asymmetrical with each other. The vibration plate is configured such that a weight difference between the first region and the second region is equal to or smaller than a threshold value and besides stiffness at the edge portion is substantially uniform.
Systems and methods for controlling plate loudspeakers using modal crossover networks
Systems and methods of driving plate loudspeakers with different parameters based on frequency region in a way similar to typical cone driver crossover networks are described. These systems and methods may be implemented using arrays of independently controlled drivers which allow a designer to emphasize or de-emphasize certain modes in certain frequency bands. Tuning the characteristics of the plate's motion can also affect the acoustical properties in a larger space rather than just at a single location. The systems and methods described herein can grant a designer a degree of control over the characteristics and performance of the plate.
DISPLAY APPARATUS WITH SOUND GENERATION DEVICE
A display apparatus includes: a display panel configured to display an image, a sound generation device configured to vibrate the display panel to generate sound, a supporting member on a rear surface of the display panel, and a partition surrounding the sound generation device, the partition including an edge having a partition edge contour shape that differs from a panel edge contour shape of the display panel.
DISPLAY APPARATUS
A display apparatus includes a display panel configured to display an image and including a first to a fifth regions, at least one first and fourth sound generating devices in a left region of a rear surface of the display panel and in the first and fourth regions, at least one second and fifth sound generating device in a right region of the rear surface and in the second and fifth regions, and at least one third sound generating device in a center region of the rear surface and in the third region. The at least one first to third sound generating devices is configured to vibrate the display panel to generate sound, and the at least one fourth and fifth sound generating devices is configured to vibrate the display panel to generate sound in a direction upwards from the display panel.
