Swapping roles between untethered wirelessly connected devices
Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for performing a role swapping operation between a pair of non-tethered wireless ear buds after detecting a triggering event. Further, state information can be coordinated between devices, including in connection with performing a role swap between buds in a pair of wireless, untethered ear buds, where one wireless ear bud is in a primary role and is responsible for a connection with a companion device, and another wireless ear bud in the pair is in a secondary role.
Concept for attaching a sound processor to the head via an interchangeable magnet
A hearing aid for placement on the head. The hearing aid includes a first part comprising an acoustic input transducer adapted to convert an ambient sound picked up at an ear of the user to an electric signal, a signal processor adapted to process the electric signal according to specifications of the user into a processed electric signal, and an output transducer adapted to convert the processed electric signal into a transmission signal, and a second part linkable to said first part by magnetic forces and comprising a receiver adapted to receive the transmission signal and convert the transmission signal to an output signal perceivable as sound by the user. Said first part comprises a receptacle adapted to receive an insert element, said insert element comprising protrusions configured for engaging with a recess of said first part by rotating the insert element relative to said first part.
Expandable sealing devices and methods
An insertion device includes a stent and a plurality of sealing elements where each sealing element is operatively attached to the stent and an earclip retention system.
Earphone cleaning device
An apparatus for cleaning earphones that includes a brush element, a positioning element, and a motive element. A brush element selectively contacts and removes debris from an earphone, and a positioning element supports the earphone in a desired position relative to the brush element. A motive element is configured to move the brush element relative to the earphone. A corresponding system and method are also disclosed and claimed herein.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR OUTPUTTING SOUND AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME
According to an embodiment, an electronic device comprises a memory, a communication module, a first speaker including at least one vibration component, at least one first microphone, and a processor configured to output a first sound having a predetermined frequency via the first speaker when a closed space is formed with the electronic device mounted on a cradle, obtain a third sound, which is a reflection of the first sound in the closed space, via the at least one first microphone, obtain a fourth sound, which is a reflection of a second sound in the closed space, via the at least one first microphone, the second sound output from a second speaker included in an external electronic device located in the closed space, and identify whether the performance of the first speaker, the at least one first microphone, and the second speaker is normal, based on the third sound and the fourth sound.
Hearing device restoration device, system, and methods therefor
A hearing restoration system with a housing having a user interface, a pump, control circuitry, and at least one pneumatic port. The hearing restoration system comprises one or more pneumatic ports, which are connected fluidly to one or more tubes. Furthermore, the housing may have a vacuum chamber fluidly connected to the third pneumatic port. A control circuitry is configured to detect a mode of operation of the system based on a measurement of pressure or vacuum inside the hearing aid restoration apparatus.
Hearing aid dryer and disinfection kit with UV-reflective drying tray
A portable dryer and disinfection device includes a container having an interior for receiving one or more electronic components for drying and disinfection. A lid is configured to be removably secured to an upper portion of the container. An ultraviolet light source is attached to a bottom portion of the lid, wherein ultraviolet light generated by the ultraviolet light source is directed into the interior of the container below the lid. A power source is disposed in the lid for providing electrical power to the ultraviolet light source. A tray is disposed within the interior of the container on which the one or more electronic components are placed for drying and disinfection. The tray includes holes that provide air flow communication through the removable tray. A removable desiccant holder is disposed at least partially within the interior of the container below the tray.
Enclosure Wireless Charging
A system and method for wireless charging a wireless earbud. The wireless earbud having a body that includes a passive magnetic shield and a coil. The coil is wound around a portion of the body comprising the passive magnetic shielding. The wireless earbud receiving wireless energy in response to the placement of the body within an electromagnetic field, which results in the charging of a battery of the wireless earbud.
Apparatuses for coupling to hearing aids
An apparatus for connecting to an ear canal component of a hearing aid includes a sleeve having a first end, an opposite second end, and a channel extending between the first end and the second end. The sleeve is configured to engage the ear canal component such that the ear canal component is in the channel. A flap is coupled to the sleeve and pivotable into and between an open position in which the channel at the second end of the sleeve is open and a closed position in which the flap closes the channel at the second end of the sleeve. When the flap is in the closed position, the flap prevents the ear canal component from passing out of the channel through the second end of the sleeve.
Inverted balloon system and inflation management system
At least one exemplary embodiment is directed to an earpiece having a balloon and a stent where the balloon is mounted on the stent and the stent incorporates two or more channels including at least an inflation channel and an acoustic channel. In some embodiments the stent is configured to pass audio signals through the acoustic channel where the acoustic channel is independent of the inflation channel of the balloon. Other embodiments are disclosed.
