Localizing binaural sound to objects
An electronic device identifies a location of a physical object that is away from a listener. The electronic device convolves sound so the sound externally localizes as binaural sound to the physical object. The sound plays to the listener through earphones so the listener hears the sound as emanating from the physical object.
Tokenizing Digital Assets with Restrictions on a Blockchain
An electronic device receives, from a user, a restriction that restricts how sound of a digital asset plays to non-owners of the digital asset that is tokenized as a non-fungible token (NFT). One or more electronic devices tokenize the digital asset as the NFT on a blockchain that stores the restriction how the sound of the digital asset plays to the non-owners of the NFT.
Electroencephalogram—controlled video input and auditory display blind guiding apparatus and method
The invention discloses an electroencephalogram-controlled video input and auditory display blind guiding apparatus and method. The apparatus includes a video acquisition module, an electroencephalogram acquisition module, a processor and an audio playback module. The video acquisition module is connected to the processor, the electroencephalogram module is connected to the processor and configured to acquire an electroencephalogram signal, the audio playback module is connected to the processor, and the processor is separately connected to the video acquisition module, the electroencephalogram acquisition module and the audio playback module. According to the present invention, control of a region of interest in the blind guiding apparatus is achieved by means of the electroencephalogram signal, so that sensing a whole image and sensing details of interest in the image are switched conveniently. A region of interest in a current video is set by using the electroencephalogram, a flexible auditory display resolution and a control method are provided for a user, and the user can sense global information or local detail information of the image with the setting of the region of interest, so that the defect of low auditory display resolution is overcome effectively. The invention can be widely applied to different occasions where blind guiding is required.
FILTER GENERATION DEVICE AND FILTER GENERATION METHOD
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a filter generation device and a filter generation method, capable of generating a filter suitable for out-of-head localization processing. A processing device according to an embodiment includes: a frequency characteristics acquisition unit configured to acquire frequency characteristics based on sound pickup signals; a level calculation unit configured to calculate a reference level in the frequency characteristics; a correction unit configured to correct the frequency characteristics so that the frequency characteristics fall within a predetermined level range including the reference level, and thereby calculate corrected characteristics; and a filter generation unit configured to generate a corrected filter based on the corrected characteristics.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WIRELESS SURROUND SOUND
Systems and methods including one or more processors and one or more non-transitory storage devices storing computing instructions configured to run on the one or more processors and perform receiving audio source data at a speaker; applying, on the speaker, a digital signal processing algorithm to the audio source data to create post processed audio data; encoding, on the speaker, the post processed audio data; and outputting the post processed audio data, as encoded, via the speaker. Other embodiments are disclosed herein.
Method and device for processing audio signals using 2-channel stereo speaker
Disclosed is an audio signal processing device. The audio signal processing device includes a receiving end configured to receive a 2-channel stereo signal and a processor configured to process the 2-channel stereo signal. The processor is configured to filter the 2-channel stereo signal using a spatial distortion removal filter and output the filtered 2-channel stereo signal to a speaker including two or more channels. The spatial distortion removal filter is a filter for offsetting distortion that occurs when the output signal is transmitted from the speaker to a listener, and includes an ipsilateral filter applied to an ipsilateral signal of the 2-channel audio signal and a contralateral filter applied to a contralateral signal of the 2-channel audio signal.
Binaural sound in visual entertainment media
A method provides binaural sound to a listener while the listener watches a movie so sounds from the movie localize to a location of a character in the movie. Sound is convolved with head related transfer functions (HRTFs) of the listener, and the convolved sound is provided to the listener who wears a wearable electronic device.
DISCRETE BINAURAL SPATIALIZATION OF SOUND SOURCES ON TWO AUDIO CHANNELS
Embodiments relate to binaural spatialization of more than two sound sources on two audio channels of an audio system. Sound signals each emitted from a corresponding sound source are collected, and a respective virtual position within an angular range of a sound scene is assigned to each sound source. Multi-source audio signals are generated by panning each sound signal according to the respective virtual position. A first multi-source audio signal is spatialized to a first direction to generate a first left signal and a first right signal. A second multi-source audio signal is spatialized to a second direction to generate a second left signal and a second right signal. A binaural signal is generated using the first left signal, the second left signal, the first right signal, and the second right signal. The binaural signal is such that each sound source appears to originate from its respective virtual position.
Load detection
This application relates to audio driving circuitry (100), and in particular to audio driving circuitry for outputting first and second audio driving signals for driving a stereo audio load (106), which may be a stereo audio load of an accessory apparatus (102) removably coupled to the audio driving circuitry in use. A load monitor (111) is provided for monitoring to monitor, from a monitoring node (112), an indication of a common mode return current passing through a common return path, together with an indication of a common mode component of the first and second audio driving signals and to determine an impedance characteristic of the stereo audio load. The load monitor (111) can provide dynamic monitoring of any significant change in load impedance. In some embodiments the load monitor (111) comprises an adaptive filter (301) which adapts a parameter of the filter which is related to the load impedance so as to determine the indication of load impedance.
Audio enhancement for hearing impaired in a shared listening environment
An electronic apparatus and method for enhancement of audio for users with a hearing impairment in a shared listening environment is provided. The electronic apparatus receives first audio content from a media source and detects a first user with a hearing disability as a wearer of the personal listening device. The electronic apparatus modifies one or more features of the first audio content based on an audio enhancement profile associated with the detected first user. Thereafter, the electronic apparatus generates second audio content based on the modification and shares the generated second audio content with the personal listening device.
