The method comprises classifying an audio object into at least a category based rendering mode information metadata. The method further comprises assigning a predetermined number of clusters to the categories and rendering the audio object based on the rendering mode. Corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.

Sound system for establishing a sound zone

A system and method for acoustically reproducing Q electrical audio signals and establishing N sound zones is provided. Reception sound signals occur that provide an individual pattern of the reproduced and transmitted Q electrical audio signals. The method includes processing the Q electrical audio signals to provide K processed electrical audio signals and converting the K processed electrical audio signals into corresponding K acoustic audio signals with K groups of loudspeakers that are arranged at positions separate from each other and within or adjacent to the N sound zones. The method further includes monitoring a position of a listener's head relative to a reference listening position. Each of the K acoustic audio signals is transferred according to a transfer matrix from each of the K groups of loudspeakers to each of the N sound zones to contribute to the corresponding reception sound signals.

A system for listening to binaural audio through a plurality of speakers having at least two pair of speakers, incorporating applying at least two Crosstalk Cancellation Filter to a corresponding at least two binaural signals to create a corresponding at least two pair of speaker signals, and inputting the at least two pairs of speakers signals to a corresponding at least two pairs of speakers of a plurality of speakers. The invention also relates to a system and method for listening to binaural audio through a plurality of speakers by dividing the speakers into groups, generating a Crosstalk Cancellation Filter for each group, and distributing the binaural audio among the speaker groups. The invention also relates to a system for placing a binaural audio signal onto a plurality of pairs of cross talk cancelled loudspeakers.

Calibration of acoustic echo cancelation for multi-channel sound in dynamic acoustic environments

A multi-channel sound (MCS) system features intelligent calibration (e.g., of acoustic echo cancellation (AEC)) for use in dynamic acoustic environments. A sensor subsystem is utilized to detect and identify changes in the acoustic environment and determine a “scene” corresponding to the resulting acoustic characteristics for that environment. This detected scene is compared to predetermined scenes corresponding to the acoustic environment. Each predetermined scene has a corresponding pre-tuned filter configuration for optimal AEC performance. Based on the results of the comparison, the pre-tuned filter configuration corresponding to the predetermined scene that most closely matches the detected scene is utilized by the AEC subsystem of the multi-channel sound system.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ACOUSTIC CROSSTALK CANCELLATION

An acoustic crosstalk canceller is determined for an asymmetric audio playback device, by determining a transfer function of an acoustic stereo playback path having asymmetries defined by speakers of the playback device. The transfer function is inverted to determine an inverse transfer function. The inverse transfer function is regularised by applying frequency dependent regularisation parameters to obtain an acoustic crosstalk canceller. Also, the inverse transfer function could be regularised for symmetric playback paths by applying aggregated frequency dependent regularisation parameters to obtain an acoustic crosstalk canceller without band branching.

DEEP LEARNING SPEAKER COMPENSATION
20220210555 · 2022-06-30 ·

A recurrent neural network is employed in a loudspeaker system to compensate the distortion of the system based upon a source signal (content) and the sensing output of a sensing circuit (context). A frequency domain transform is selected to provide mapping between the source signal and a recorded signal; and enable reconstruction of desirable playback. Various sensing-related features and source-related features are derived to serve as the auxiliary information. A desirable content is therefore generated based upon the original content and the context.

Metadata-preserved audio object clustering

Example embodiments disclosed herein relate to audio object clustering. A method for metadata-preserved audio object clustering is disclosed. The method comprises classifying a plurality of audio objects into a number of categories based on information to be preserved in metadata associated with the plurality of audio objects. The method further comprises assigning a predetermined number of clusters to the categories and allocating an audio object in each of the categories to at least one of the clusters according to the assigning. Corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.

A method, a system, and a device for transmitting data through an earphone and a computer storage medium are provided. A first data type of to-be-transmitted data is acquired, a second data type set for an FIR filter coefficient is acquired, and a sum of the number of decimal places indicated by the first data type and the number of decimal places indicated by the second data type is determined. A data type which indicates a number of decimal places that is at least two orders more than the sum is determined among preset data types as a third data type of an FIR filtering result, and FIR filtering is performed on the to-be-transmitted data to obtain a target filtering result and transmit the target filtering result.
