Loudness adjustment for downmixed audio content
Audio content coded for a reference speaker configuration is downmixed to downmix audio content coded for a specific speaker configuration. One or more gain adjustments are performed on individual portions of the downmix audio content coded for the specific speaker configuration. Loudness measurements are then performed on the individual portions of the downmix audio content. An audio signal that comprises the audio content coded for the reference speaker configuration and downmix loudness metadata is generated. The downmix loudness metadata is created based at least in part on the loudness measurements on the individual portions of the downmix audio content.
Color slider
Adjusting gains of an audio mix. Audio tracks using respective gains are individually analyzed to compute a first metric of frequency content. A user input specifies a desired second metric of the frequency content. Responsive to the user input, respective gains of the audio tracks are collectively and simultaneously adjusted to produce respective adjusted gains of the audio tracks. A second audio mix when played of the audio tracks with the respective adjusted gains has a third metric of frequency content different from the first metric of frequency content. The third metric is closer to the second metric than said first metric.
AUTOMATIC VOLUME ADJUSTMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS, MEDIUM, AND DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to an automatic volume adjustment method and apparatus, a medium, and a device, which belong to the field of computer technologies, and can adjust the playback volume of audio or video. The automatic volume adjustment method includes: acquiring, in a case that a terminal does not output loudspeaker sound, a noise signal outside the terminal; determining noise energy based on the noise signal; and adjusting playback volume of audio or video on the terminal based on the noise energy.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MAINTAINING TRACK LENGTH FOR PRE-RENDERED SPATIAL AUDIO
A method performed by a programmed processor of an audio system, the method includes receiving a sound track that has a track length, producing a binaural audio version of a sound track, the binaural audio version having an extended track length performing a fading operation upon the binaural audio version to gradually reduce a signal level of the binaural audio version to below a signal threshold level at a time along the extended track length that corresponds to an end time of the track length of the sound track; and storing the binaural audio version having the track length of the sound track in memory for later transmission to an audio playback device for driving one or more speakers.
Audio apparatus and method of operation therefor
An audio apparatus, e.g. for rendering audio for a virtual/augmented reality application, comprises a receiver (201) for receiving audio data for an audio scene including a first audio component representing a real-world audio source present in an audio environment of a user. A determinator (203) determines a first property of a real-world audio component from the real-world audio source and a target processor (205) determines a target property for a combined audio component being a combination of the real-world audio component received by the user and rendered audio of the first audio component received by the user. An adjuster determines a render property by modifying a property of the first audio component indicated by the audio data for the first audio component in response to the target property and the first property. A renderer (209) renders the first audio component in response to the render property.
Stereophonic apparatus for blind and visually-impaired people
A method and a wearable system which includes distance sensors, cameras and headsets, which all gather data about a blind or visually impaired person's surroundings and are all connected to a portable personal communication device, the device being configured to use scenario-based algorithms and an A.I to process the data and transmit sound instructions to the blind or visually impaired person to enable him/her to independently navigate and deal with his/her environment by provision of identification of objects and reading of local texts.
SELECTIVE ADJUSTMENT OF SOUND PLAYBACK
A device for managing sound playback includes one or more processors configured to receive an indication of a user-device interaction between a user and an audio interface device during a sound playback operation of a multi-speaker audio playback system. The one or more processors are also configured to, based on receiving the indication of the user-device interaction, initiate a selective adjustment of the sound playback operation to reduce a playback sound of the multi-speaker audio playback system based on a position of the user.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING MULTI-CHANNEL AUDIO SIGNAL
An apparatus for processing audio includes at least one processor configured to obtain a down-mixed audio signal from a bitstream, to obtain down-mixing-related information from the bitstream, to de-mix the down-mixing-related information by using down-mixing-related information, and to reconstruct an audio signal including at least one frame based on the de-mixed audio signal. The down-mixing-related information is information generated in units of frames by using an audio scene type.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY TUNING DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING CONFIGURATIONS FOR AN AUDIO SYSTEM
Embodiments include a processing device communicatively coupled to a plurality of audio devices comprising at least one microphone and at least one speaker, and to a digital signal processing (DSP) component having a plurality of audio input channels for receiving audio signals captured by the at least one microphone, the processing device being configured to identify one or more of the audio devices based on a unique identifier associated with each of said one or more audio devices; obtain device information from each identified audio device; and adjust one or more settings of the DSP component based on the device information. A computer-implemented method of automatically configuring an audio conferencing system, comprising a digital signal processing (DSP) component and a plurality of audio devices including at least one speaker and at least one microphone, is also provided.
ENVIRONMENTALLY AWARE REMOTE CONTROL
Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, computer-implemented method, and/or computer-program product (computer-readable non-transitory storage medium) embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for an environmentally aware remote control. An example embodiment operates by at least one processor detecting a first signal and a second signal and receiving information corresponding to at least a physical position where a user is located relative to at least the first physical source. The at least one processor may further operate by calculating a time difference between a given sample of the first signal and a corresponding sample of a second signal at the physical position where the user is located, and adjusting a relative timing of the first signal with respect to the second signal. In some further embodiments, the at least one processor may adjust other attributes of either signal besides timing, e.g., audio characteristics such as volume, pitch, other filtering, etc.
