LOCATION BASED CONTENT SYSTEM FOR MOBILE APPLICATIONS
Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content searching, hosting and/or providing systems supported by or configured with devices, servers and/or platforms. The disclosed systems and methods provide a novel framework for providing users with electronic retrieval capabilities that are activated upon the users' determined locations respective to real-world locations associated with a message providing entity. The disclosed technology combines the previously separate systems of mail extraction, geo-fencing and content delivery (e.g., notification) into a single system that efficiently manages a user's inbox in order to provide the user with content the user has expressly indicated is of interest to that user. The disclosed systems and methods effectively realize a location-aware mail experience that provides functionality for delivering location (and timing) specific content to a user when the user is actually capable of acting on/interacting with the content in real-time.
Systems and methods for device selection and modified output upon receiving notifications
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for device selection and modified output upon receiving notifications. In one embodiment of the disclosed technique for selecting an output device for notifications, systems and methods receive an electronic notification which indicate an originator of the electronic notification. An output range is determined for each electronic device in a plurality of electronic devices. The system selects the electronic device with the smallest of determined output ranges from the plurality of electronic devices. The system determines from the indication whether the originator of the electronic notification is on a stored list of originators. If so, the system transmits the electronic notification to the selected electronic device for output.

Measurements for narrow-band internet of things devices
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for measurements for narrow-band (NB) Internet of Things (IoT) devices. A user equipment (UE) may receive a cell-specific reference signal (CRS) during a paging occasion and via a non-anchor carrier. The UE may process the CRS by determining and/or making quality measurements of the paging carrier. The quality measurements may be used to determine whether a paging occasion should be terminated early to conserve UE power and to prevent an extended “on” duration during the discontinuous receive cycle of the UE. In some examples, the UE may combine statistics and/or measurements based on processing of both the CRS and a narrow-band reference signal (NRS).
Organizing self-replying messages
Methods and systems for generating, identifying, and displaying message threads on a social messaging platform. One of the methods includes receiving a first and second messages posted to a social messaging platform by a user account; determining whether the second message is a reply to the first message posted by the user account; in response, determining if the first message is part of an existing message thread; in response to determining that the first message is not part of an existing thread, assigning a new thread identifier to both the first message and the second message, the thread identifier associating both messages with a new thread; in response to determining that the first message is part of an existing thread, assigning an existing thread identifier obtained from the first message to the second message.

Extended Device Pairing
Methods, devices, systems, and means for managing extended device pairing by a target device and a host device are described herein. The target device transmits a pairing intent message expressing an intent to pair with the host device (2002), receives a pairing response message in response to the transmitting the pairing intent message (2004), pairs with the host device (2006), and communicates data with the host device (2008).

Telecommunication and multimedia management method and apparatus
A telecommunication and multimedia management apparatus and method that supports voice and other media communications and that enables users to: (i) participate in multiple conversation modes, including live phone calls, conference calls, instant voice messaging or tactical communications; (ii) review the messages of conversations in either a live mode or a time-shifted mode and to seamlessly transition back and forth between the two modes; (iii) participate in multiple conversations either concurrently or simultaneously; (iv) archive the messages of conversations for later review or processing; and (v) persistently store media either created or received on the communication devices of users. The latter feature enables users to generate or review media when either disconnected from the network or network conditions are poor and to optimize the delivery of media over the network based on network conditions and the intention of the users participating in conversations.
Messaging system apparatuses circuits and methods of operation thereof
Disclosed arc a messaging system. apparatuses circuits and methods of operation thereof. A messaging client device is adapted to receive an impermanent message and to manage the received message in accordance with a message management policy associated with the message. An impermanent messaging server is adapted to validate said messaging client device as complying with message management policies prior to authorizing transmission of the message to said messaging client device.
