Method and system for providing interoperability for rich communication suite (RCS) messaging with local and remote applications
A method and system for providing interoperability for Rich Communications Suite/Systems (RCS) messaging with local and remote applications. If a target network device cannot directly receive RCS messages, electronic messages are modified on an RCS message application to include different types of electronic links to remote or local RCS interoperability applications. The local or remote RCS interoperability applications independently provides seamless, rich multi-media RCS functionality to the target network device when the electronic link is activated in the modified electronic message. The local or remote RCS interoperability applications provide two-way RCS message communications between target network devices without RCS functionality and target network devices with RCS functionality.

Privacy protection method and apparatus for mobile terminal
A privacy protection method and apparatus for a mobile terminal are provided. The method includes specifying basic information, privacy protection indication, and fictitious information of a contact item to be recorded in a contact list, determining, when a contact is received from an external terminal, whether a privacy protection function is activated for the external terminal, and outputting, when the privacy protection function is activated for the external terminal, a contact reception screen and a contact handling screen that include pre-specified fictitious information of the external terminal and exclude pre-specified basic information thereon. As a result, when a contact is received from a counterpart, information on the counterpart can be prevented from being displayed on the screen. Hence, it is possible to prevent inadvertent disclosure of counterpart information.
Systems and methods for deploying dynamic geofences based on content consumption levels in a geographic location
Systems and methods are provided for determining in real-time geographic areas having a threshold level of content consumption and deploying dynamic geo-fences to contain these geographic areas. These dynamic geo-fences provide a means for timing message notifications in order to optimize the chances of delivering targeted content to a mobile device user based on the current geographic location of the user's device relative to a threshold level of content consumption area. As mobile device users may be more likely to launch a client application in a place where other users are currently consuming content, a general message notification sent to the user's device located in a dynamic geo-fence created based on real-time content consumption, may increase the likelihood that the user will launch the client application and thereby, allow targeted content to be delivered to the user's mobile device.

Edge-based location-specific warning system for LTE networks
Disclosed is a mobile edge computing system that provides localized emergency responses and warning exclusively to UEs within a venue or area, and provides location-specific warning within the venue or area. The system includes a component that aggregates the S1-mme interface between the MME and a plurality of baseband units and provides read and write access to the S1-mme interface. The disclosed mobile edge computing system can issue cell-specific public warning system (PWS) messages that are customized for and transmitted exclusively to each individual cell within the venue.
System for emergency response alerts and notification
A real-time application-based cellular system with real-time GPS positioning to notify civilian drivers of the proximity of emergency services vehicles in sufficient time to allow appropriate response. Civilian users receive alerts and information on their personal computing devices, including, but not limited to, tablets and smart phones. No addition or special hardware is required. Only drivers in a moving vehicle with a certain proximity are directly and selectively notified. The system also is able to send other additional customized warning signals to citizens in threatening situations in a non-vehicular context.

Anti-theft recovery tool
An anti-theft protection disablement solution is provided to authorized users and authorized customer service representatives. An anti-theft protection disablement request message from a recovery application on a user device may be received via a cloud messaging service or a binary messaging service. In turn, an anti-theft protection disablement message may be transmitted to the user device via the cloud messaging service or the binary messaging service when the anti-theft protection disablement request message is authenticated. The anti-theft protection disablement message may disable an anti-theft protection function on the user device that calls for an input of an anti-theft protection authentication credential for a factory reset of the user device.
