The one or more processors are configured to receive a first user request for data from the client device using the one or more transceivers, determine a first point in time for retrieving the data based on an amount of charge in batteries of the one or more stations in the network, retrieve, at the first point in time, the data from a remote server via the network using the one or more transceivers, store the data in the memory, and in response to a second user request, transmit the data to the client device using the one or more transceivers.

A system and method enabling location-based activation of applications. The system comprises one or more servers storing and providing a persistent virtual world system including a virtual version of the real-world comprising one or more applications virtually attached to virtual-world entities positioned according to real-world coordinates, and being configured to compute the state of the virtual-world entities and to process the applications; send a minimum amount of application graphical representation to the user device responsive to receiving a notification of a user device accessing a trigger zone associated with the application(s); determine suitable application media streams to be sent to the user device responsive to receiving a notification of user interaction with the application graphical representation, perform heavy-load computational tasks on the media streams, and deliver the streams to the user devices, which perform lightweight computational tasks on the media content to output the media content.

A system and method enabling location-based activation of applications. The system comprises one or more servers storing and providing a persistent virtual world system including a virtual version of the real-world comprising one or more applications virtually attached to virtual-world entities positioned according to real-world coordinates, and being configured to compute the state of the virtual-world entities and to process the applications; send a minimum amount of application graphical representation to the user device responsive to receiving a notification of a user device accessing a trigger zone associated with the application(s); determine suitable application media streams to be sent to the user device responsive to receiving a notification of user interaction with the application graphical representation, perform heavy-load computational tasks on the media streams, and deliver the streams to the user devices, which perform lightweight computational tasks on the media content to output the media content.

A method for centralized device tracking includes: obtaining, at a first UE from multiple sources, first multi-source position information corresponding to a second UE; determining, based on the first multi-source position information, second multi-source position information corresponding to the second UE; identifying a third UE, separate from the first UE, to which the second multi-source position information is relevant; and sending migration information to the third UE, the migration information comprising an identifier of the second UE and comprising the first multi-source position information, or the second multi-source position information, or a combination thereof.
BEACONS FOR LOCALIZATION AND CONTENT DELIVERY TO WEARABLE DEVICES
Example systems, devices, media, and methods are described for presenting a virtual experience using the display of an eyewear device in augmented reality. A content delivery application implements and controls the detecting of beacons broadcast from beacon transmitters deployed at fixed locations and determining the current eyewear location based on the detected beacons. The method includes retrieving content and presenting a virtual experience based on the retrieved content, the beacon data, and a user profile. The virtual experience includes playing audio messages, presenting text on the display, playing video segments on the display, and combinations thereof. In addition to wireless detection of beacons, the method includes scanning and decoding a beacon activation code positioned near the beacon transmitter to access a beacon.
