USER PLANE PROTOCOL DESIGN FOR NEW RADIO (NR) SIDELINK DISCOVERY MESSAGE
Aspects of the disclosure relate to discovery in a wireless communication network. According to one aspect, a user equipment (UE) may determine to use a service associated with a sidelink communication, determine a contents of a discovery message including an indication of the message being the discovery message for the service, and determine a sidelink resource for use to transmit the discovery message. The UE may then transmit over a user plane using the determined sidelink resource the discovery message including the indication of the message being the discovery message for the service. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Discovery channel for unlicensed frequency band
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for advertising operating channels that are being operated in an unlicensed frequency band. One or more access points (APs) may transmit discovery information on a dedicated discovery channel for the unlicensed frequency band. The discovery information may indicate at least one operating channel that is being used by an AP for providing wireless access. The discovery information also may include other information useful for a station (STA) to discover APs, operating channels, and operating parameters. The STA may monitor the dedicated discovery channel to obtain the discovery information without conducting an active scanning or passive scanning procedure.
OPERATION METHOD OF UE RELATED TO SYSTEM INFORMATION AND SIDELINK RELAY IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An embodiment relates to an operation method of a relay user equipment (UE) related to a sidelink relay in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving, by a relay UE, a system information-related request from a remote UE; and transmitting, by the relay UE, system information to the remote UE, wherein the system information is obtained by the relay UE from a base station on the basis of the system information-related request.
MAPPING, CHARACTERIZATION AND LOCALIZATION METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
A method of mapping and characterizing a communication network is described. Segments are mapped by having each node of the network sending and receiving messages to discover its partner until the network is fully mapped. Each segment is characterized by sample messages sent along each segment, with received signal level at each end of the segment being measured and used to calculate cable segment parameters. Location tags may have their positions estimated by using signal levels at each end of a leaky cable segment receiving the tag signal to estimate the position of location tag.
RADIO DEVICE ANOMALY DETECTION
Systems and methods of identifying anomalies within radio devices. The method includes obtaining raw radio data from a radio device of a plurality of radio devices, identifying a radio performance indicator related to an operational performance, determining a long-term and a short-term average of the indicator based on previously received indicators from the device, and determining a weighted ratio of the long-term and short-term average based on an age of the indicator and an amount of the previously received indicators. The method includes generating a curated indicator from the weighted ratio and the indicator, deriving, from a plurality of curated indicators from the plurality of devices and the curated indicator, a curated group average, determining an anomaly in the operational performance of the radio device based on a comparison of the curated indicator and the curated group average, determining a recommended action, and transmitting an electronic notification indicating the action.
ASSET TRACKING
Systems, asset tag devices, and methods are described herein to provide asset, or object, tracking using a plurality of beacons. The asset tag devices may be affixed, or coupled to, the asset, or object, and may receive beacon advertising packets from the beacons, and then transmit, or broadcast, tag advertising packets including information from the received beacon advertising packets, which may be used to determine an approximate location of the asset tag device, and in turn, the asset or object.

Misbehavior detection in autonomous driving communications
A first roadway system receives a communication from a second roadway system over a wireless channel, where the communication includes a description of a physical object within a driving environment. Characteristics of the physical object are determined based on sensors of the first roadway system. The communication is determined to contain an anomaly based on a comparison of the description of the physical object with the characteristics determined based on the sensors of the first roadway system. Misbehavior data is generated to describe the anomaly. A remedial action is initiated based on the anomaly.
Device-to-device signaling
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may encapsulate, into a link layer sidelink management message, upper layer signaling for managing a direct communication connection with a second UE. The first UE may transmit, to the second UE, the link layer sidelink management message including the upper layer signaling. The second UE may selectively transmit, to the first UE, a link layer sidelink response message based at least in part on a content of the upper layer signaling in the link layer sidelink management message.
