Prioritizing preferred networks
An example technique performed by a client on a device includes: detecting a mobility state of the device in a presence of a wireless network; determining, based at least in part on the mobility state, that the wireless network is a preferred wireless network for the device; in response to determining that the wireless network is a preferred wireless network, elevating a priority of the wireless network in a set of wireless networks to which the device is connectable; and connecting the device to the wireless network based, at least in part, on the priority of the wireless network.

METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR LOCATION REPORTING
Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for location reporting. A mobility management node determines to establish a connection between the mobility management node and a terminal device for which location reporting is required. The mobility management node sends, to a base station, a request for establishing the connection. The request is configured to request the base station to report location information of the terminal device.

METHOD AND USER EQUIPMENT FOR HANDLING DUAL REGISTRATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Embodiments herein disclose a method for handling dual registration of user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The method includes registering the UE on a fourth generation Radio Access Technology (4G RAT) and a fifth generation RAT (5G RAT). Further, the method includes determining, by the UE, an occurrence of at least one event. Further, the method includes suspending, by the UE, the registration on the 5G RAT. Further, the method includes performing, by the UE, communication using the registration on the 4G RAT.

Reduced Power Roaming by an Accessory Device
A user equipment (UE) is configured to prioritize a plurality of Public Land Mobile Networks (PLMNs) from an aggregate roaming priority public land mobile network (RPPLMN) list containing the plurality of PLMNs into a plurality of prioritized PLMNs and connect to a selected PLMN from the plurality of prioritized PLMNs based on a priority of the selected PLMN. The UE is further configured to determine if an application processor (AP) assisted location service is available, wherein the AP-assisted service is configured to identify a plurality of deployed PLMNs and a plurality of frequencies used by the plurality of deployed PLMNs at a current geographical location of the UE and when the AP) assisted location service is available, determining if a registered PLMN (RPLMN) is valid in a current mobile country code (MCC).

Network initiated release assistance indication
A session management function (SMF) receives a message from a network exposure function (NEF). The message comprises downlink data and a release assistance indicator (RAI). The RAI indicates that transmission of uplink data by a wireless device is expected subsequent to transmission of the downlink data. The RAI indicates a release of a connection associated with the wireless device after the transmission of uplink data. The SMF receives an indication that the uplink data is transmitted. The SMF upon receiving the indication, sends a release message to an access and mobility management function (AMF). The release message indicates release of a non-access stratum message associated with the wireless device. The release message comprises the release assistance indicator.
