NETWORK ACCESS AND MANAGEMENT VIA WIRELESS ACCESS PROFILES
Communication management hardware controls network access via generation and distribution of wireless access profiles. For example, the communication management hardware receives a network access request from first user equipment to use a network over an open SSID network. In response to detecting that the first user equipment operated by a non-subscriber is not yet authorized to use the network, such as because the first user equipment has not signed up for use of the network, the communication management hardware directs the first user equipment to a portal. The communication management hardware then communicates a wireless access profile to the first user equipment. In one arrangement, the wireless access profile is derived based on input from the first user equipment. The wireless access profile provides the first user equipment wireless access to the network via a secure SSID.

INTERACTIVE DISPLAY PLATFORM BETWEEN A USER DEVICE AND A DISPLAY SLATE
In a user device such as a smartphone, frequent display screen activation causes undesirable power consumption and other inconveniences to the user, such as taking out his smartphone from a pocket to look at its screen, which increases the chances of his smartphone being dropped or damaged. Based upon such problem recognition, the present inventor conceived various inventive features that allow user relevant information to be provided onto a so-called display slate, without having to activate the display screen of the user device. Such an interactive display platform allows for performing a wireless pairing operation between a user device and at least one display slate located in proximity to the user device, providing, on the display slate, user relevant information related to or received from the user device without the screen of the user device being activated, and allowing, via the display slate, the user to interact with the user relevant information provided thereon.
SECURITY FOR MULTI-LINK OPERATION
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to security for multi-link operation. A device may determine a multi-link communication with a first multi-link device comprising two or more links associated with two or more station devices (STAs) included in the first multi-link device. The device may determine a first medium access control (MAC) address associated with a first link of the two or more links. The device may determine a second MAC address associated with a second link of the two or more links. The device may generate one or more pairwise security keys to be used in the multi-link communication on the two or more links. The device may cause to send a frame to the first multi-link device using at least one combination of the one or more pairwise security keys.

USER LOCATION DETECTION METHOD, VEHICLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE PERFORMING SAME, AND MOBILE DEVICE PERFORMING SAME
An embodiment of the disclosure relates to a method of detecting the location of a user located in a vehicle, the method including performing pairing between a mobile device of the user and the vehicle, outputting a plurality of sound wave signals respectively from a plurality of speakers located in the vehicle, the plurality of sound wave signal being different from each other in at least one of a frequency band and a time period, and obtaining user location information which is information about a user location detected based on an audio signal received by the mobile device in correspondence to the plurality of sound wave signals.

FUNCTIONALITY TO IMPROVE EXTENDER ONBOARDING PRIOR TO COUNTRY CODE DETERMINATION
A client device for use with a wireless network controller device, a connected wireless APD and a second wireless APD, the client device including: a memory; and a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to cause the client device to: associate with the wireless network; and transmit an onboard new APD instruction to the wireless network controller device to cause the wireless network controller device to: transmit a restricted mode instruction to instruct the connected wireless APD and to instruct the connected wireless APD to transmit a beacon; receive a notification of the probe request; transmit the onboarding instruction to instruct the connected wireless APD; and transmit the primary mode instruction to instruct the connected wireless APD, wherein the onboarding instruction causes one of: the connected wireless APD to transmit the beacon; and the connected wireless APD to not transmit the beacon only on the assigned channel.
