AUTOMATED DEPLOYMENT OF RADIO-BASED NETWORKS

Disclosed are various embodiments for automated deployment of radio-based networks. In one embodiment, a request to provision a radio-based network for a customer by a provider according to a network plan is received via an application programming interface (API) of a cloud provider network. An arrangement of a plurality of cells for the customer is determined. Respective antennas and radio units for individual ones of the plurality of cells are preconfigured to implement the radio-based network before shipping the respective antennas and the radio units to the customer.

MANAGING RADIO-BASED PRIVATE NETWORKS

Disclosed are various embodiments for managing radio-based private networks. In one embodiment, a cellular network comprises at least one cell that provides a radio-based private network coverage of a site of an organization. The system further comprises at least one computing device in a cloud provider network that implements one or more network functions for an associated core network of the radio-based private network.

CONTINUOUSLY ONLINE 5G RADIO UNIT SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Various arrangements for updating a radio unit (RU) of a cellular network are presented. A volume of cellular signals being handled by a first programmable processor of the RU and a second programmable processor of the RU may be analyzed. A determination can be made that one of the processors has sufficient available resources to handle the analyzed volume of cellular signals. The RU can cause cellular signals to be rerouted to one of the programmable processors while the other processor is taken offline for updating. The update process is performed such that UE in communication with the RU experience uninterrupted cellular network access.

Access to data representations of relatively dynamic actual usage and patterns of spectrum usage across channels, geographies (locations), and times can be advantageous in planning for resource utilization, and in structuring pricing for spectrum resources. Actual usage of spectrum resources can vary dynamically. Significant opportunities to advantageously utilize spectrum resources can be identified from relatively dynamic representations of actual usage.

Methods and apparatus for codebook switching with dynamic coverage in a communication system

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One method may inlcude a base station or other device estimating an intended coverage area of all possible communication devices that are to be serviced by the base station or other device. The base station or other device may dynamically optimize at least one transmission metric such as a codebook, in response to a change in the coverage area. Another method may include a base station estimating a dynamic coverage area of a set of all possible user equipments or devices to be serviced, and dynamically optimizing a codebook structure in response to a change in the coverage area. Another method may include the base station determining a use-case of the set of all possible user equipments to be serviced by the base station, and hard-coding a metric corresponding to the use case.

ADAPTIVE BUFFER REGION FOR LINE-OF-SIGHT NETWORK PLANNING
20220182137 · 2022-06-09 ·

Architectures and techniques are presented that improve or enhance a network planning procedure such as by selecting a more efficient test buffer that is used to identify objects that might intersect a Fresnel zone between two transceivers. An improved test buffer (e.g., buffer region) can be one that is constructed from a plurality of rectangles situated along a line of sight of the two transceivers and that are oriented according to cardinal directions.
