This application provides data transmission methods and apparatuses, to introduce a buffer status report (BSR) mechanism through multi-link (ML) cooperation, to improve performance of scheduling a station by an ML device. In an example method, a multi-link transmit end determines BSR signaling sent to a multi-link receive end, where the BSR signaling can enable the multi-link receive end to schedule a station of the multi-link transmit end over one or more links. Further, the multi-link transmit end sends the B SR signaling to the multi-link transmit end over the one or more links. This introduces a BSR mechanism through ML cooperation.
METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING DOWNLINK PACKET IN FUNCTION-SEPARATED CORE NETWORK
The present invention discloses method for transmitting downlink packet in function-separated core network. It is an object of the embodiments of the present disclosure to provide a method for transmitting a downlink packet for a UE in an idle mode which is capable of reducing a data transmission latency for a user and efficiently using network resources in a mobile communication system in which the control plane and the user plane of a gateway node are separated.

A multicast communication method and a communication apparatus provide for transmission of data of a multicast service using a PDU session established by a terminal device to improve network element utilization. An AF network element sends first multicast service indication information to a session management network element indicating a first multicast service. The session management network element sends, based on the first multicast service indication information, multicast service information to an access network device that serves a terminal device. The access network device establishes an association relationship between the terminal device and the first multicast service based on the multicast service information, so that the access network device can send, when receiving data of the first multicast service, the data of the first multicast service to the terminal device using a PDU session.

Embodiments of this application provide a radio bearer configuration method, an apparatus, and a system. A multicast radio bearer used to receive a multicast/broadcast service is established between a terminal and a base station, to reduce complexity of processing the data of the multicast service by the base station. This solution includes: A base station receives a first request message, where the first request message requests to add a first terminal to a multicast/broadcast service; and the base station sends configuration information of a multicast radio bearer to the first terminal based on quality of service QoS flow information of the multicast/broadcast service. The configuration information is used to configure the multicast radio bearer, the multicast radio bearer is used to transmit data of the multicast/broadcast service to a terminal that has joined the multicast/broadcast service, and the terminal that has joined the multicast/broadcast service includes the first terminal.

Embodiments of apparatus and method for uplink grant handling are disclosed. In one example, a method for uplink grant handling can include receiving an uplink grant at a user equipment from a network device. The method can also include associating the uplink grant directly with a logical channel group including a plurality of logical channels. The user equipment can be configured to dequeue the logical channel group directly with priority for transmission scheduling. In some embodiments, the method can further include sending, to the network device from the user equipment, a request to associate a list of logical channel groups including the logical channel group. The request to associate can include a request to associate the plurality of logical channels with the logical channel group.
