20220124583 · 2022-04-21 ·

The present disclosure provides a method and device for multicast transmission, wherein a method for multicast transmission performed by a first network device includes: receiving a first message for requesting handover from a second network device; transmitting a second message for responding to the first message to the second network device.

Radio link setup signaling in cellular system

This document discloses a solution for providing a terminal device with one or more candidate cells for link setup. A network node providing the candidate cell(s) may compute a validity window for each candidate cell and indicate the validity window(s) to the terminal device. The terminal device may then perform the link setup with a candidate cell within the respective validity window of the candidate cell.

Connected mode mobility in new radio

The present application is at least directed to an apparatus in a network including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for obtaining a resource for accessing a target cell in the network. The apparatus includes a processor, operably coupled to the non-transitory memory, configured to execute the instructions of detecting plural beams associated with the target cell. The processor also executes the instructions of determining one or more of the plural detected beams meeting a threshold for performing random access. The processor also executes the instructions of evaluating if a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource is associated with the one or more determined beams meeting the threshold. The processor further executes the instructions of selecting one of the evaluated beams exhibiting a reference signal received power (RSRP) above a predetermined value. The processor even further executes the instructions of picking the PRACH resource associated with the selected beam.

Handover schemes for millimeter wave (MMW) wireless communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may initiate handover from one base station to another. The handover procedure may not include random access channel (RACH) transmissions, and thus may be a localized RACH-less handover. The UE may initiate handover to a new base station based on the relative location of the UE and the new base station, some predetermined time, or based on the characteristics of the signals from each base station.

COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR MACHINE LEARNING METADATA

There is provided a network apparatus that is caused to receive as part of a handover procedure for handover of a terminal to the network apparatus, metadata about at least one machine learning model accessible for execution and/or training by the terminal, determining whether or not the terminal should execute and/or train the at least one machine learning model after the terminal is handed over to the network apparatus; and signal the result of the determining to the terminal.

Release-Independent Modifications of Network Parameters

A UE transmits a radio access capability to a base station. The radio access capability is transmitted via an information element that comprises a bitmap in which a bit has a value that indicates, to the base station, support of a modification to at least one of a maximum power reduction or a spectrum emission requirement. According to embodiments, the base station manages the UE based on the supported modification. Such managing of the UE may include, for example, one or more of admission control, imposing scheduling restrictions, and imposing handover restrictions.

A communication method, apparatus, and system are disclosed, to provide a mechanism of mobility, of a terminal device that supports private networks, between the private networks. The method includes: a first access network device determines, based on a first list, a target cell that belongs to a target first network, where the first list includes an identity of at least one first network to which a terminal device subscribes. The first access network device sends a first message to a second access network device that serves the target cell, the first message carries a second list, the second list is used to enable the second access network device to determine the identity of the at least one first network to which the terminal device subscribes.

RE-ESTABLISHING A RADIO RESOURCE CONTROL CONNECTION

A method for re-establishing a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection between a UE and a target eNB. The method is performed by the UE. The method includes the UE receiving an RRC Connection Reestablishment message from the target eNB, the RRC Connection Reestablishment message including a DL authentication token which has been generated by an MME and has had a Non Access Stratum integrity key as input. The method also includes the UE authenticating the received DL authentication token.
