Method and apparatus for allocating acknowledgement resources
A method includes receiving initial acknowledgement resource information at a user device from a base station. The initial acknowledgement resource information is associated with a subset of acknowledgement resources. The method includes determining in dependence on the initial acknowledgement resource information which of the subset of acknowledgement resources is to be used. The user device transmits an acknowledgement on the determined resource.
PROCESSING STATE INFORMATION
A method of processing state information relating to user equipment in a communications system comprising a radio access network, the method comprising: maintaining current state information relating to the user equipment; and on the basis of a change of connection of the user equipment from a first cell to a second cell: transmitting a current value associated with a given state information part to the target radio access node in response to detecting at least one of one or more predetermined triggers that indicate that the target radio access node may not have received the current value from the source radio access node; or relying on the target radio access node having received the current value from the source radio access node if said at least one of said one or more predetermined triggers is not detected.
METHOD, SYSTEM, AND DEVICE FOR USER DETACHMENT WHEN A HANDOVER OR CHANGE OCCURS IN HETEROGENEOUS NETWORK
A method for user detachment when a handover or change occurs in a heterogeneous network is provided. The method includes: a user equipment (UE) is handed over or switched from a source network to a target network; a network element on a network side determines whether to detach the UE from the source network, and if yes, the network element on the network side detaches the UE from the source network. A system and a device for user detachment when a handover or change occurs in a heterogeneous network, and another method for user detachment when a handover or change occurs in a heterogeneous network are also provided.
User equipment handover method and device
Embodiments provide a user equipment handover method, and a device. In embodiments of the present invention, when a handover is to be performed, user equipment may send first information that is used to request a handover, and then a destination network device may allocate a first uplink resource to the user equipment.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING PDSCH RECEPTION BASED ON LAYER 2 MOBILITY IN MOBILE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for layer 2 mobility is provided. Method for lower layer mobility includes receiving from a base station a first RRC message, receiving from the base station a first MAC CE, the first MAC CE comprises an identifier related to the first data scrambling identity and the first TCI state list, performing PDSCH reception based on the first data scrambling identity and the first TCI state list, receiving from the base station a second MAC CE, the second MAC CE comprises an identifier related to the second data scrambling identity and the second TCI state list, and performing PDSCH reception based on the second data scrambling identity and the second TCI state list, The second MAC CE comprises an identifier related to the second data scrambling identity and a second TCI state list.
RAN CONGESTION MANAGEMENT AND SERVICE CONTINUITY WITH USER CONSENT OPTION
Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for congestion management and service continuity. In some example embodiment, there may be provided a method comprising sending, by a user equipment, an indication of whether the user equipment supports an automatic re-mapping of a network slice to a fallback network slice; and receiving, by the user equipment, an acknowledgment from a network in response to the sent indication. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.
Base station apparatus and inter-base-station gateway apparatus
A base station apparatus (1) is configured to send a first information element to an inter-base-station gateway (3). The first information element explicitly or implicitly indicates whether a relay operation is necessary. The relay operation is an operation in which the inter-base-station gateway (3) relays a data packet destined for or sent from a radio terminal between the base station apparatus (1) and another base station (2). It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to enabling a base station or an inter-base-station gateway to select whether a relay operation by the inter-base-station gateway should be performed at the time of an inter-base-station handover.
Base Station Signaling in a Wireless Network
A first base station may communicate with a second base station regarding a wireless device and handover. The first base station may send the wireless device's configuration to the second base station, and may receive, from the second base station, configuration parameters of carriers associated with the wireless device. The carriers may be of different types, and may have differences regarding reference signals. The first base station may inform the wireless device of the configuration parameters.
Method and apparatus for minimizing interruption time of data transfer on handover in wireless communication network
To solve the problem wherein a terminal cannot perform data communication from a network from the time point of a terminal receiving a handover command (HO command) message from a base station controlling a source cell to the time point of a terminal receiving a handover complete (HO complete) message from a base station controlling a target cell, after the terminal transmits the handover command message to the base station controlling the source cell, the base station controlling the source cell transmits to the base station controlling the target cell whether or not the terminal supports a function of reducing the interruption time of data transfer, the terminal continues to perform data transmission/reception with the base station controlling the source cell, and after the terminal completes a random access procedure with the base station controlling the target cell, the base station controlling the source cell transmits an additional sequence number status transfer message to the base station controlling the target cell.
CONNECTED MODE MOBILITY IN NEW RADIO
The present application is at least directed to an apparatus in a network including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for obtaining a resource for accessing a target cell in the network. The apparatus includes a processor, operably coupled to the non-transitory memory, configured to execute the instructions of detecting plural beams associated with the target cell. The processor also executes the instructions of determining one or more of the plural detected beams meeting a threshold for performing random access. The processor also executes the instructions of evaluating if a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource is associated with the one or more determined beams meeting the threshold. The processor further executes the instructions of selecting one of the evaluated beams exhibiting a reference signal received power (RSRP) above a predetermined value. The processor even further executes the instructions of picking the PRACH resource associated with the selected beam.
